When I tried both the C2 and the C2S, the difference wasn't so noticeable.

A lot of people would like to own one, even an old one...
And when they look at your car, they don't mind it's an S or non S. They just look at the last Porsche 911 model
For them, you're a damned lucky guy
Try to consider the question with their eyes
Most of the time, you don't run with other porsches (S or non S) but with toyotas, BM's, nissan, Mercedes and VW's...that kind of stuff
So enjoy and keep cool.

well in that perspective you are right..
But its not about beeing blaze of something..
Its about the "deal" and the S is the deal in terms of money also.
BUT i ve never driven the S to know the difference or non-difference like you, so its just something faster to my brain, something that i have not tested to evaluate the difference..but i m sure there will be
