Getting a Milltek Exhaust fitted to my 997 S CAB.
Check it out the sound files at http://www.millteksport.com/media.filelist.cfm?mediatype=1&VariantID=167
Actually, it REALLY sounds like a trumpet!
Especially in the video where the car takes the turn.
RC,
If that's what you mean with the PSE, then I'm gonna question my order! Seriously!
Problem is that is comes with X51, so I'll have to check if one can order X51 without PSE.
Please Christian, tell me PSE doesn't sound like this!
A Trumpet. Your trumpets must be different in the states compared with UK

I just ordered a 997s and did not opt for the PSE. Seemed like a lot of money for a little louder sound and different tips. What am I missing? Did I make a mistake not ordering this? I also did not order the Sport Shifter.

There are a lot of comments on this board heavily in favor of both options. In fact, I'll be ordering the retrofits for both on Monday. Get them both. You'll be happy you did, unless you're trying to keep the costs down on your purchase.

Great Picture!
What do you think of the exhaust? Just had mine retrofitted but I'm finding it disappointing - not as loud as the 996 SE and switches itself off below 45mph when you accelerate.

Yes. Once the PSE is installed it will be connected to the SPORT button. Pressing SPORT will turn on the PSE.

So how does the tone differ on the PSE to the stock with it turned off ..
Thanks in advance..

When the PSE is turned off, you just have the standard 997S exhaust noise, pretty good already!
