    PSE and the 997S

    Can someone plz confirm the following:

    1. PSE can be retrofitted to a 997S coupe purchased and delivered w/o PSE
    2. During this retrofit, electrical connections MUST be made so that the PSE will be turned on coincident with Sport mode being engaged via the center console switch
    3. I was quoted about $2080 for the 997S PSE (can get an additional 10% off for being a member of PCA)
    4. Wondered if there is a standard identified flat rate for installation of the PSE in terms of labor time and, if so, what is that?

    you can get it retrofitted
    The problem is finding one to retrofit!

    Everything should be correct and yes, there should be a "flat rate" set by Porsche regarding labour work, at least this is the case over here in Germany.
    It is also my understanding that if the car isn't equipped with chrono sport, a little bit more install time is needed (switch install, etc.).

    i ve heard the when you have sports chrono the installation and PSE cost is slightly higher

    You have to wait until Tuesday/Wednesday because Monday is a holiday over here.
    Are you afraid your dealer wants to rip you off? I paid 2087 Euro (incl. 16% VAT) for the whole install.
    The PSE only is 1694 Euro incl. 16% VAT.
    So the install job itself costed almost 400 Euro.

    Price difference may cause by Tax and Fx. Here, it cost me 5800 Euro for PSE without installation

    my dealr in downtown los angeles quoted my $5,000 to retrofit PSE on a 997S with S chrono... I can't help but feel ripped off... anyone know a better dealer in the LA area with a decent price?

    adam, comparing the prices other rennteamers are paying there in the states, you are getting SERIOUSLY ripped off! should be half that! i'm getting PSE retrofitted by my dealer for $3000
