    New Mods (RS Wing/Bypass Pipes).

    Finally got around to doing some of these mods,

    here are some pics for you guys: i put the before and afters next to eachother

    Fabspeed bypass pipes are definitely not too loud

    where is everyone, the 996 forum is a bit silent lately

    Looks awesome, Tom. The RS wing looks unbelievably good on a black GT3, pure aggressiveness. The first time I saw that combo on a GT3 (see picture below) I was taken back. I just hope that there is a similar wing to replace the ugmo version on the 997GT3/Aerokit.

    Nice pics! The RS wing really makes the car seem as if it has a lower stance. Looks great. The Fabspeed pipes are awesome sounding. I watch the video's on their website all the time! Really agressive sound when your on the throttle.

    just got them today, so none yet, i plan to get some in car video soon

    The wing is great! It seems a bit larger than the one on the other GT3? Is it Carbon, or plain black?
    And the pipes... Dont know... they seem a bit too long to me...
    Overall, I do love the car... it is so beautiful!

    the wing is clearcoated carbon fiber, very subtle on a black car!

    its much larger than the stock rear wing in all dimensions and has a much more pronounced curve to the flat element.

    Moogle, thanks for your comment. I understand that the wing really is the same as the wing of the GT3 RS... I love that wing. On the few occasions that I saw one at the dealer (and at spa) I couldn't stop staring at the wing! What I meant is that it looked larger than the RS wing of the other GT3.

    Its a brilliant car, but ich personally dislike the rs-wing on the usual GT3. It looks like simply added. You should maybe paint the silver bolts black. The sound ist awesome, as shown in the video, but the old pipes look better.

    Just my 2 cents and thx for the great pics

    Moogle dont you feel a loss of backpressure?? I can hear it in the video. Sacrificing low end for top end?

    This is what i feel: a slight loss of power below 3500 RPM, but in the high rev range (6000- redline) i can definitely feel a bit more (mabye its just the insane sound it gives off at those high RPM).

    here is the dyno chart fabspeed posts. hmm.

    Im sorry i ll be hard on you though, the rear wing you added....man IMO its terrible really horrible..


    If you like it its your car man dont get me wrong..


    But it a gorgeous car at black an this thing disturbs its structure..

    I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the RS spoiler on a black GT3? Looks really agressive!
    The pipes of the Fabspeed system maybe stick out a little too far, but that's just a detail.

    Bravissimo Moogle - that's a beauty - exactly my taste. On an MKII I would put the RS wing as well. Personnally I really feel like there's something missing on the OEM MKII wing.

    The MK I wing I wouldn't touch it because it's such a nice shape. I test-drove for the first time an MK I Clubsport yesterday. Halelujah - WHAT A CAR... Driving home afterwards my Carrera 2 felt almost like an ordinary sedan.

    I like your mods...

    It's funny but it the pictures with the mods were taken on a sunny day so it looks so much better than the original.

    Reminds me of before and after fat/slim people diet shots where one of them is apathetic/no tan and the other is smiling/tanned.
