Magazines still dont get the part about storage space. Giving a higher mark to the 430 over the 997 when you could easily fit more than twice as much stuff in the 997 using the storage behind the front seats. The car should have won by even more points.

But they're right about the 997 and 430 beating the other 2 wanna be cars........ Even giving the vette a huge 20 extra points over the F430 (40 vs 20) in the price department AND they gave more points in the depreciation to the vette versus the Ferrari (LOL) ...... 997 turbo & F430 the best 2 all around sport cars period.

Area behind 997TT front seats is worthless from a storage standpoint...would never want internally-launched missles in any severe deceleration....and the 997 rear seats are rather dubious from a safety standpoint for any passengers...lack of rigid seat strucs, crashworthy headrests, side/head airbags and/or side curtain airbags....

That said, 430 has a real trunk (vs 997TT's lame trunk)...and 430 has a MB-like 28gall fuel tank, unlike 997TT's commuting-incompatible <18gall tank...

But 430 has glaring lack of modern safety systems like side/airbags....and would argue safety, real and/or perceived, is the real-world rate-limiter for usable performance of any car....
