How come there was no PSM fitted by Porsche to the Carrera GT? The system was a available as from the introduction of the 996 Carrera 4! The macho car mentality

"Form follows function"
I never understood this either, especially since Porsche Cars North America had to pay out $$$$ in the early 80s for losing that famous La Jolla crash liability case in the US for selling the original widow maker , the 930 Turbo, and thereafter dialed in significant understeer the next 20 years in all their 911s until PSM was developed.
Chrysler had the same macho marketing mentality for their previous Viper, and many of those left the road backwards also.
