This is strange, BTW:

The car in the video needs approx. 3-4s (!) more between 200kph and 300kph than my car, despite being a coupe. Very strange.

One reason might be that the car was tested in "Sport+" with the different aerodynamic setup. My suspicion would be that some of the magazine tests suffered from the same problem, i.e. those 30s times might be the result of using "Sport+" Smiley

I know what you mean but we had a comparison in Sport mode (with the PAA Speed mode, not Performance mode, driver was afraid of driving in Sport Plus) and the 991.2 Turbo S wasn't faster than my R8. However, both cars performed basically the same, even over 300 kph there wasn't much difference (not surprising since 1 second from 0-300 kph doesn't mean anything in real life, especially in the higher speed range).

It would be interesting to see however how big the difference is between 200 and 300 kph between PAA Speed and Performance mode and if all car magazines test their cars in the sportiest mode available.

This will be an interesting test indeed - unfortunately, I just had the winter tires installed Smiley

I just read about a Cw comparison of the turbo s in "Sport+" and "Sport". The key result is that using "Sport" instead of "Sport+" results in 200-300kph times that are approximately 1.5s faster.

That explains the magazine test results where the turbo s did like 30s for 0-300kph. In "Sport" this would be approx. 28.5s - which is again fully consistent with my own GPS tests.

Funny, that car magazines don't realize what they are doing wrong. Even the manual states that the aerodynamics are worse in "Sport+" and that top speed can only be driven in "Sport" for that reason Smiley
