Extended Warranties

I'm usually not a fan of extended warranties, but when I purchased my car in February I was really concerned about the nightmare repair bill that would show up as soon as my warranty expired. Wondering if anyone else has considered or has experience with this. The one I purchased through the dealership included an additional 3 years and 50K miles of coverage thru a 3rd party.

If it's available through a third party I'm curious if it's a scam i.e. the above ^^^^^, with them trying to deny everything? Is there anyone here that has had a claim happily paid by one of these outfits, preferably one that's still in business?

Mechanical service contract is being handled by Fidelity Warranty Servics Inc. out of Deerfield Beach, Florida. Sounds legit from what I can tell. They guarentee 2/3 purchase price refund if no claims are made during life of service contract. I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

A Fidelity does the underwriting for Exotic Warranty Company. It sounds like it might be the same one. If it is, based on another thread they deny claims. I'd check into it some more.

in here you can buy extended only from Porsche BUT only when the regular warranty is going to expire and after Porche has examined your car and THINKS it profitable for them to expire you warranty,thus if your car is in really good condition!!!!

After 2 years of standard warranty you can put one more year and this can go for the first 10 years!!

Cost 1000 euros per year
