Re Whoopsy: Sorry to hear about your F12 crash. Glad no one was hurt. Are you having the car fixed? New door painted and installed?

nberry:Nick, look at positively. The collision gave you the impetus to buy a gorgeous car.
FWIW, one of the first things I learned about driving an exotic like a Ferrari is other drivers tend to look at your car and not the road thereby created a dangerous situation. AND as I posted regarding my Targa, some are just so envious they do stupid things also creating unsafe conditions.
Finally point, other drivers think that doing damage to an exotic will be costly and think they may not have enough insurance to cover the damage. Thus the hit and run.
Since I have the R8, I have idiots following me (I can spot them in the rear view mirror), tailing me, so their co-passenger can take a video and/or photos. Sometimes they pass me a higher speeds in the city, put themselves in front of me, slow down and do the same video/photo stuff again (usually, the rear passenger if there is one). In the beginning, I found it amusing but now it is getting very annoying. Also when people stop next to you, open their window and shout "please play with the gas..." (so I end up on YouTube as an idiot standing at a red light, making too much noise... ).

Went down to the dealership to get the paper works done this morning, but saw that they have a brand new black with red interior just sitting there begging to be bought. I switched. Black car I guess is nor important than 'acid green' interior
Price is a little bit higher as the other one was their demo, but now I get a black one. hated the wheels but that's minor and can be changed easily. Negotiated a nice discount too.
crayphile:Glad your wife is OK, and impressed that she drives the F12 . You are going to love the Huracan - fabulous car!
Believe it or not, the F12 is actually her daily, I can only drive it when she is not using it
It is our workhorse, if we don't need 4 seats for the kids.
Glad nobody got hurt.
Love the way you buy cars, like an impulse ...this one looks even better than the first one, wonderful car, best looking exotic on it´s class by far and one of the most beautiful cars out there. Can´t waite to hear your ownership experince reports, keep it coming and congrats

spudgun:Reading your latest posts, I think that the lambo salesman could have been at the wheel of that truck that hit the F12…
enjoy the bull!
On the other hand, Whoopsy himself could have been moonlighting as a clumsy truck driver because needed an excuse to justify buying the Lamborghini when his garage is already full?

One of these must be the truth.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
Didn't plan it this way, but I just realized as it happens, I will have a N/A V12 (2 in fact), a N/A V10, a N/A V8, a N/A V6 (yes it's from the Honda Odyssey but still counts), a N/A flat 6 (RS is gone but the R is coming).
Now I guess I will need a N/A 4 cylinder.
The V8TT will be replaced by a Supercharged V8 today but another V8TT is coming in about a month.
RC:You know that I officially hate or love you right now, haven't decided yet.
Congratulations...I love it. Unconditionally.
Sorry about that F12 of yours...glad your wife is OK though (only thing that matters).
I thought about getting the Audi V10 Plus as inspired by you, but believe it or not that car is sold out for the year here.
And then the Huracan pops into my mind as the sister car, plus it has a convertible version. That car is not sold out, if I count their demos, they have 4 brand new 2016s and a 2017 sitting on the lot, not counting used ones.Think 4 more coupes also. Didn't go for the 17 as that one has stop/start, the 16s don't and is $2000 cheaper, go figures.

488, perhaps?
Whoopsy:As for other non-relevant news about the 918 in the 918 thread:
Trofeo Rs on both the P1 and the 918, in proper sizing.
Meh, no timed lap times I guess...
17min of boobs action.

Nope. guess you haven't been following. An all conquering Cayenne Turbo S
With a 918 in the garage there is no point in me chasing the latest and fastest 'whatever category sports car'.
Do not care if the 488 is faster, do not care if the latest 12C facelift is faster. Been there, done that with both's previous versions and the current one is really not that different. With the future going turbo-ed cars I have plenty of time to catch up.
Not many N/A cars left on the market hence the decision to get the V10, never had a Lambo ever either.

nberry:Someday you must explain your black fetish. Variety is the spice of life.
I have other colours.
This one has white/grey-ish piping inside. The Ferraris have yellow accents, the 918 has acid green, the Lambo has red interior, the incoming Cayenne has brown interior. The 911R has silver stitching.
That's what, 6 different colours not counting black. Plus the now gone orange RS with orange interior!

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was concerned all your cars were black.

Nick, I'd say the Huracan is the better R8...only things the R8 "does" better is the Bang & Olufsen HiFi system (best HiFi I ever heard on a car but with crappy radio sound...) and it is (at least in Europe) a bit more socially acceptable. Also, you got yourself the Spider and the V10 sound will be even more addictive. The R8 Spider is only available with 540 hp.
I assume you didn't get the Trofeo tires with the Spider and you should leave it that way! The Trofeos don't work well with the Huracan's ABS system and the street tires (PZeros?) work very well with the AWD.
Bottom line is: Excellent choice.
