What I find ridiculous is the 305 rear tires! what is this 2fast2furious? how can a 355HP car "drag" 305 rear tires!!, but the worst part is that its the AWD version!! this is darn silly... can you spell U.N.D.E.S.T.E.E.R. now? please, form follows function... form follows function... form follows function... form follows function... form follows function...
I don't get it
You are RIGHT ON THE MARK Carlos ! Porsche seems to have it BACKWARDS . Rationally, the lighter rear wheel drive 997/997S should be the two models with wider bodywork with it's fatter rear tires to improve traction and minimize oversteer. Instead , the heavier AWD C4/C4S get more aero drag and fatter rubber out back when it already sends power up front and it also worsens AWD's tendency towards understeering. But it's all about justifying the big AWD $$ mark-up so they've gotta give the customer something visually distinctive - sorta like plopping the $20 chronometer pimple on the dash so the customer "sees " the value for the $900 Sport Chrono package which is just simply software with a marginal cost of next to nothing.
