It would seems Porsche has given out some incorrect information during their briefing to the press out in Europe. Quite a few incorrectly identified the gold painted aluminum wheels as magnesium wheels.

Also of note, Porsche is a bit cheeky in their North American launch, running Willow Springs backward so there isn't a direct comparison of lap times with any cars.

Hmmm, In the configurator the wheels are magnesium (Weissach package)…

You can't show that a wannabe Porsche is as fast as the never ending king 911...

The GT4 RS will not beat the GT3 on the Nordschleife, can't say much about other tracks but there is a certain model hierarchy which needs to be kept. Smiley

Btw: I like the GT4 RS a lot, I think it is a very good offer from Porsche. Would get one if I could afford it but I cannot afford to have another sports car besides my Performante. I wish I could and it would definitely be the GT4 RS or a GT3.

If one pays a little attention to the driving, in this video, they closed it out by showing Pat Long doing a hot lap. It takes 3 downshifts to do the first corner at the end of the pit straight. Pat took two before turning in, but his last downshift doesn't come until he is like right on top of the apex of the turn. He literally trailed braked all the way to there. Everyone else driving that day did all their 3 downshifts on the straight before the turn in. That's almost a second difference in lap time right there. Pros vs non-pros.

It looks like those cars have all Neodime colored rims. I have not seen this combo with the Arctic grey before.

You don't have another photo from a better angle ?

What colors are you going for ?

TBH I still haven't decided on what colour to go for. I might end up with boring white again.

As for arctic grey and neodyme, there are lots of photos of the Cayenne Turbo GT in that colour combo, also videos.

Neodyme works really well with arctic grey IMO.

Both colours are very nice and suitable. But IMO if you order Weissach-Paket, the Arctic grey blends better with the carbon bonnet.

Are ordering Neodyme?

For the moment my order is in with Arctic grey, WP, and the standard colored rims (dark silver)

I do have in mind to change for GT Silver with Neodyme rims.

Not sure I dare to have the Neodime with Arctic grey.

Nice find. Thanks. Neodime with Arctic does look quite good on that vidéo. Still undecided if I will change my order.

Wonder why they have chosen this rim/brakes combination ? Is it that they just have lots of spare magnesium rims to use ? Not sure they are really track proven yet. It also looks like it will be a big event.

No, not convinced either. The GT4 is maybe too small for white with all that black. It is nice from the front, but from the back/side it makes the car too dull. With a darker color, you get the reflections which add body to the small back.

Those magnesium wheels are basically the same design since the 918, and the GT2RS.

Good enough for 700hp car and 887hp car, it's good enough for the GT4RS Smiley

I think I went back and changed to PCCB after getting a PTS slot.

Can't quite remember anymore lol

Come to think of it, I think I kept the yellow brakes also instead of taking them as black Smiley

I actually made a few changes after sort of disclosing what I am ordering here.

Clubsport is basically a cage and a harness and can be selected either in steel or titanium.

LED is the type of lights to be selected for the front lights.

To me the cars in the PDF files are all cars already build. So none are Gaus's, Whoopsy's, The Missile (?), or mine.

Not many in that file for the Americanmarket. You can see that by the option ''Bügel'' ( roll cage) which is not legal in Northern America.

nr 057 to 061 are probably the blue cars we saw on the Spa video. All the same cars, used by Porsche for different events.

Same goes to nr 064 to 068. They look like the other cars seen on the video event at Spa. All with same specific specs.
