Question about Porsche Tiptronic transmission
Hey Guys. I was doing some research on the internet and from what i've red the 993 generation had a diferent tiptronic transmission.
What i mean is that you could change gears via either the buttons on the steering or throught the gear lever (996, 997, Boxster you could only change by the steering)
Also from a photo i've found on Auto Salon Singen of a red 964 Cabrio that had a automatic gearbox (dont know if in the 964 it was called tiptronoic) it also had the option to change the gears trough the gear lever.
My question is this, were the 993 and older tripronic/automatic transmissions like abouve? If so, why Porsche change it on the 996, Boxster?
I just cant get it since in the Cayenne you have the option to change it on the gear lever.
Hope you guys can clarify this for me.
Woshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
