CloseThank you! I agree that the contrast stitch gives a bit more interest to the interior and the white tach and chrono face also go with it very well. I’ve read a lot of people saying that you should always spec the GTS interior pack with a GTS but for me the full leather is preferable to the alcantara.

My son driving the GTS at a track event last weekend. Reaches 159 Mph on the straight. Compared to my 992C4S, the car is much quicker, much louder and much more track oriented. Some YouTube reviewers have said you cannot feel the difference between a CarreraS and a GTS, but I strongly disagree. The car is a different personality and performer entirely. For those of you who cannot get a GT3 allocation, go for this car. I am more than pleased, really sold on the GTS concept.
Only downside, compared to a GT3, initial front end turn in is not a sharp.
And BTW, I was initially a bit worried about the shark blue color being too flashy. But I have already had so many wonderful comments about the color, and the way it works with the black gloss trim. The color really stands out, but in a very attractive way.
Nice job taking it to the track! I bet with the torque a well driven GTS would give the GT3 some fits. And agree with the color being well received by the public. Was out at dinner downtown and my phone blew up due to some local car spotters seeing my car and taking pics. VW really hit it out of the park with Cornflower blue...oh sorry AP picked a great color in Shark blue

Wonderbar:Comes as rwd but you can option awd. Mine is rwd. Doesn’t snow much in my area, so all wheel drive is not necessary. I did option rear wheel steering, however, and recommend it. It’s so much easier to get in and out of parking spaces, etc.
Yes, I like RWD better too (especially at the track). I wonder if the improvement you feel compared to the C4S is partly due to the change to RWD. I have a friend who was at the track that day with your son (in a white 992 GT3) and said your car was very pretty

I have seen your pal’s car several times at the track. A howling monster. Listening to it come down the long straight is a true auditory pleasure.
Regarding the difference between this car and my older C4 S, this GTS is noticeably different. It is definitely quicker in acceleration and short bursts, the suspension is stiffer, and of course the exhaust sound is much louder. My son and I both drove the older car many times, and he absolutely agrees. The only time when you really don’t feel much of a difference is when cruising on a smooth highway in normal mode. Not many GTS’s around yet, but if you get a chance give one a test drive.
Also, the turbo brakes are superb, and I personally love the design of the rims.

Hi again guys, and thanks for all the nice comments. The video I posted is on a GoPro inside my car, as my son was driving. He asked me to ask you folks this question: do you have any advice about how to get better sound out of the GoPro, if you have to roll the windows down during a track event?

I have no experience with the product itself, but you see the DJI Mic a lot. DJI might be a familiar brand to you based on their drones, but they also offer camera's on gimbals, action cameras, and also wireless microphones:

A lot of the vlogger crowd seem to use them, not sure how suited they would be for the specific purpose of recording engine noise.

Short driving report:
My son just finished his fifth full track day with the GTS. Even completely stock, the car is extremely fast, well balanced and confidence inspiring. Always one of the top two performers in the high intermediate drivers’ class (described as “mega fast” by one veteran instructor). Too speed of 169 mph on back straight. Torque is strong but linear, brakes dependable and powerful.
Comfortable with ample room for two 6’ adults and weekend 
gear over a 500 mile round trip to the track, with overall 29 miles per gallon at average of 54 mph through highway and city traffic.
Shark Blue drew many positive compliments.
Extremely happy with this car…
