a. I hate when they display 911 models that don't have a fixed rear wing with the tiny spoiler up. not having a spoiler and keeping the classic 911 shape was the point, way to totally miss it.
b. Damn, that looks more like a listing for the showroom with all those interior and building pictures, they really want to sell you on their service and capabilities as a dealership.
Every single 911 or Panamera I saw in Miami during my trips had the rear wing raised, even when parked. Pathetic.

Yeah that's the Miami way alright. It's not even a sport look if not at speed, just silly. By the way, does anyone else appreciate the irony of the 911R? Here's a car designed for purists to drive w/ abandon and yet the market frenzy due to limited numbers cannot help but give pause to anyone who wishes to drive the car as it was intended as it may impact (literally and figuratively) the future value of the car.

You are not alone.

This irony gets even bigger when owners ask if they can put a GT3 wing on it... Just happened at a dealer I know...

x1000000000000 Enmanuel, there shouldn't even be a button in the console to be able to raise it manually...
And in this model even worse since they even had to dwsign a reaar diffuser so that they could delete the wing

In reality, it is only there so the wing and surrounding area can be cleaned more thoroughly when washing the car.

Whoopsy:SciFrog:I think it looks horrible in black... Ruins the whole idea... And the red stripes look tacky on black... Make mine white with red stripes...
Gee thanks for the compliments, I am having mine in black...................and I am skipping the stripes.
You love black, you will be fine... Color are just opinions...
One design feature of the R that made is different and really nice is the contrast of the black rear lid and lighter colors, combined with the stripes, just the way Porsche introduced it. It gives it that sort of racy look with the "elegance" of not having a huge rear wing. In the pics you can see this but it is even more pronounced in the flesh. I was blown away by the white R with red stripes, the nicest 911 in at least a decade...

I know what you mean, the Geneva car is just stunning.
I spent many many hours deciding what to do wit the stripes and what colour. Probably changed it 10 times already. And I still have more time to change my order before it is locked.
Whoopsy:Oh, that black with red stripe 911R that's up for sale? The owner has just been kicked out of the 918 VIP program.
Maybe he needs the money to pay for his 918.
To learn how to live is to learn how to hang on. To learn how to die is to learn how to let go.
Whoopsy:Oh they do. PCNA kicked out a bunch already from the GT3RS, and we had a chat and know for sure there will be many more getting kicked out because of the R.
So, is this actually an explicit violation of the VIP Program terms, to flip one of the other cars you buy under it, or is this just Porsche upset that they did it?
There is no explicit wording. And since all parties involved are adults, there is no need to explain.
Abuse of the Privilege is the phase that's being used. No matter how one sugar coat it, but fresh getting delivered a car and turn around re-selling it right away can only means one thing. There could be exceptions but if the intention was communicated to Porsche first, then it might not be considered abuse.

As far as I've been told, when I asked if I could sell "my" 911 R if I don't like it , six months holding period seem do the trick (starting with the day you pick up the car at the dealership). Actually, they want to see the car being registered to the owner's name and after six months, you can basically do whatever you want with it. This is for Germany but I assume it isn't much different out there in the world.

quite a few of the 991 GT3RS owners I met at various Monterey Car wk venues these past few days are garage queening theirs due to dealer inflamed market price " adjusting " so only take them out to drive to " car guy " events and bought GT4s to track , whereas they tracked their 997GT3 RS ...it is probably gonna become even rarer to see the coming GT3RS/GT2RS models be anything more than speculative garage queens .... expect huge demand once again for the 718 GT4 as the " second car " in the garage , used for taking to the track ...suspect it will ironically -vis a vis the 911R - to have option of PDK in gen 2 for maximizing personal track attack times esp for those not insignificant number of millenial and coming younger track rats trading up who never and have zero interest to learn to drive a manual

Maybe he had 2 different colors 918s?
He has one 918 but many, many other Porsches ( actually every single special model since the 993 ) . I have not been but into the secret of how he did it . I only have the confirmation from a '' very well placed '' source that he's got 2 .
I have seen one of them as he live close to my place .

Whoopsy:That guy will be the first I know of that got 2.
Well probably the 2 families that had 4 918s might have multiples, but even the Americans who had 3 cars don't even get multiples.
Same here . One guy in Geneva has 2 918 . He did not get any R .........
