That brand is going down the drain!
The new CEO coming from a chip company. And they just proudly announced their new high end fashion brand as well as Cavallino restaurant chain. In fact they announced the change to a lifestyle brand as their major corporate goal. Great..

It is what it is, growing the brand.
Ferrari is a listed company now, they do need to expand revenue streams.
It used to be they licensed out their clothing stuff, last it was with Puma. But why let someone else make all the money when they can make that themselves. See Porsche, with Porsche Design.
Now if their restaurant do killer spaghetti ragu, I will be all for it.
The Ferrari allure will always be there. They are, Ferrari, after all.
With the new 296 GTB, I got a little itch to get back in the Ferrari family, I find it just that much more appealing than the McLaren Artura, and that itch has nothing to do with horsepower rating, it's just the cars' appeals.
I like it much more than the 488/F8 iterations of the same 458-platform. They move with the unfortunate demands of this age, and if this is the result, I'm happy. Smaller, less overtly 'supercar' but packing huge punch. Well done. Makes the SF90 look a bit stupid though, imo.

Whoopsy:I hope Ferrari will start a new trend, making cars smaller again.
Hmm, Porsche, you listening? I KNOW you guys are reading here
Ohh yes! by chance yesterday I saw a 993 sitting closed to a 992 and a Land Cruiser. the 992 felt well in proportion with the SUV while the 993 looked so much nicer in the middle of the crowded parking.
Small and powerful cars, please!

Why not? Rich are getting richer, it is a good strategy to sell more luxury products to them. They have a very strong brand name. Why trash it by licensing the brand to other people when they can do a better job themselves?

As usual I will wait to see in person before forming a full opinion. First impressions:
Sounds unexpectedly good. Rear interesting and 250LM touches are nice. Front a bit of a disappointment - I had hoped for a new design direction. Great to see the effort to make it more compact.
Excluding the 812 Competition A which will not be here for a long time, my last car purchases have been made in 1951,1956, 1958,1965. Next two are likely to be 1964, and 1967. I think there is a pattern here .

Porker:Looks very promising, I like the design as well.
Very good offer from Ferrari, putting a lot of pressure on Lamborghini and future products.

Not sure if this reporting is accurate, but the next Huracan replacement sounds very promising here (10,000 rpm V8 with Hybrid):
