    Re: T.33

I'm not in the target audience, so Mr. Murray won't give a sh!t, but am I the only one who is not at all excited by these cars? Yes, they might be engineering marvels, and for that I applaud him, but they seem to suffer from the same effect that the MP4-12 suffered from; amazing machine with extreme eye for detail, but about as emotional as a dishwasher or any other household appliance. I never understood that, as I really liked the styling of the McLaren, but for these cars... they seem so totally void of anything dramatic, and lack the sheer beauty of the old cars they seem to take their styling cues from.

You may not be excited by the design, but I'm fairly sure I would be beyond excited by the driving experience.

You are not alone . I applaud the ethos of the cars. The T30 is unforgiveably ugly. T33 better from the rear. I wanted to see it in person to form a more rounded view but they are pretty much all gone. These are cars for generally speaking those who have one of everything just because they can and good luck to them  - I have nothing against them and hope they make lots of money on resale - for surely they will sell them in time. But will they truly love this in the way one loves a Ferrari, Porsche or even Alfa for that matter - I doubt it.

    About Professor Gordon Murray CBE

Having spent 20 years as Technical Director in two Formula One teams from 1969-1990 Gordon Murray has a wealth of technical, design and engineering experience. At Brabham he was instrumental in two world championship wins (1981 and 1983) before three consecutive championship wins with McLaren Racing (1988, 1989 and 1990). In 1990 – after 50 Grand Prix wins – Gordon moved away from Formula One to concentrate on establishing a new company for the group, McLaren Cars Limited.

His first project there, the F1 road car, is still regarded as one of the world’s best-engineered cars. A racing version won two world sports car championships and the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1995. McLaren Cars then completed several other successful projects culminating in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Gordon left McLaren in 2005 to set up Gordon Murray Design Ltd (in 2007), of which he is Chairman. The innovative British company is a world leader in automotive design, and reverses the current industry trend for sub-contracting by having a complete in-house capability for design, prototyping, and development.

In 2017, Gordon Murray Design celebrated the company’s 10-year anniversary along with that of the iStream® manufacturing process at a special event, named ‘One Formula’. Gordon also marked the 25th production anniversary of the McLaren F1 road car, and his 50th year of design and engineering.

In May 2019, Professor Murray was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, in recognition of his contributions to the motorsport and automotive sectors over the past 50 years.

    Re: T.33

It doesn’t matter if many don’t care much for the exterior design when the car is sold out even before it is officially introduced.

    Re: T.33

As emotional as a dishwasher? On paper the T50 is arguably the most driver oriented car in the last ¿20? years and with a Cosworth v12, +650 CV and <1000kg I don't see where it lacks of emotion or character. Similar approach with the T33.

And if we talk about design... I personally love them (despite T50's rear, which is kinda busy). Give me those "bland" lines anytime and not a front/rear full of holes, fake ducts&exhausts, spoilers here, oversized splitters there.

This before getting into dimensions: Compact&Lightweight vs Huge&Fat (choose any supercar from the mainstream companies' line up). Also forms following functions with this hideous fan. Isn't it all we've been asking for?

Love for the brand? They nailed the idea, the execution looks promising, their (digital) communication has been top notch and the purchase experience is sick (truth to be told and based on TG's video, not up to traditional companies standards though). So if the car drives as it should, all the potential audience is gonna engage with GMA as soon as the first reviews hit YT.

Seen from the outside, some Pagani vibes here: founder's strong personality and guidance, most stunning car of its gen, like-minded owners, entertaining ownership with rallies and whatnot. Love is gonna grow organically.

It is only 100 cars I think, there is plenty of liquidity around.

Correct and why it is irrelevant to discuss the looks of this car.  It is a smashing sales success regardless of opinion.

Gordon Murray Automotive T.33 supercar to make global public debut at 79th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport

    ● Global public debut of sold-out T.33 supercar to be unveiled by Professor Gordon Murray and the Duke of Richmond on 9 April 2022

    ● T.50 supercar and track-focused T.50s will also be on display at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting

    ● Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 course car to take part in performance demonstrations of F1 cars from the V10 era

Surrey, Tuesday 15 March 2022 - The all-new Gordon Murray Automotive T.33 supercar is set to make its public debut at the 79th Goodwood Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport on 9 April, it has been announced.

The T.33 coupe, which is strictly limited to 100 examples and is sold out, will be officially unveiled by Professor Gordon Murray and The Duke of Richmond at 79th Members’ Meeting at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. 09:00 in the Paddock area. The timeless design of the £1.37m (excluding local taxes)supercar is built around a newly developed carbon and aluminium superlight architecture, weighing less than 1100kg overall. The two-seater supercar is powered by a specially reconfigured version of the Cosworth GMA T.50 3.9-litre V12 engine, revving up to 11,100rpm.

Visitors to the Goodwood Members’ Meeting will also have a chance to see the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 and track focused T.50s supercar. Over the weekend, a 3.9-litre V12 650bhp T.50 prototype will take to the iconic Goodwood Motor Circuit, driven by a Gordon Murray Automotive test driver. The T.50 course car will also take to the track as part of the performance demonstration of F1 cars, which reunites some of the drivers of the V10 age with their cars and offers modern racers a taste of these incredible machines.

Gordon Murray Automotive will also display a collection of historic vehicles that influenced Gordon’s T.33 vision and follow the same light-weighting principals, an ethos that he still applies to vehicle design today. These include:

    The IGM Ford T.1

    Porsche 904

    Lamborghini Miura

    Abarth 1000 SP

    Osca 1600 GT

    Porsche 550 Spyder

    Lotus Elite

Professor Gordon Murray CBE “The team at Gordon Murray Automotive is extremely proud of our British company and as with the T.50, the T.33 supply chain is predominantly UK sourced. We take immense pride in presenting our family of cars at a British venue and where better than Goodwood?
As a GRRC member and an ardent fan of all things Goodwood, I look forward to the upcoming 79thMembers’ Meeting and the global public debut of our T.33 supercar coupe.”

The Duke of Richmond “We’re thrilled that Gordon Murray Automotive will be returning to the Members’ Meeting for a second time and bringing such a special car to be seen in-person for the first time. Members’ Meeting provides the perfect setting for the launch - it’s intimate on the ground, but has a broad, international reach, meaning all eyes will be on the T.33 throughout the weekend.”

    Re: T.33

The design looks a bit 90'ish but the car is still epic, they don't make pure driving focused cars like these any more...

    Re: T.33

This car is shaping up to be something really special.
