What I really like about the Gallardo is the classic sportscar design. It looks aggressive, it looks mean, it looks exotic and it looks expensive. Maybe not the car to drive to work but definetely a car to impress and enjoy. 
If it drives as good as it looks, it might be my next toy.

I also like its usable dimensions as opposed to it's bigger brother, this car is almost 15 cm shorter than a Carrera!!!
I'll wait for the Roadster version though
Just called Lambo in Monaco totally out of curiosity, one can get a Gallardo for late sept early oct delivery, that's quite cool!!! Won't be me though
Plus I believe Christian is right, always wait a year or so, to get the first owners feedback and first mods on the car. That's right no Christian? It was you who wrote that the first MY always have couple of things that are not quite reliable, no?

Yep, I think this is a very clever thing to do. I didn't do it on my 996 Turbo (got one of the first cars in Germany on june 6 2000) but I highly recommend it.
Let's take the E55 for example: there are now rumors that the new MY brings a lot of technical changes. I don't know if this is true but I'm pretty sure there already have been some improvements.
Unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna own a Gallardo too soon but hey, if the stock markets go bullish again...who knows?!
