Technical questions for the 360
Hi all,
I have two questions concerning the Modena.
1. The F1 transmission is mostly controlled with electronics, is it upgraded every model year, for examples, have they used the progress achieved with the Maserati and the 575MM to slightly update the 360?
2. The stock exhaust is quiet until about 2800 rpm where the noise becomes fantastic up to redline.
I own a 996 with sport exhaust and as stock (without the extra button) it is quiet between 40 and 70 km/h (roughly) due to moise regulations. You can control manually this feature asking your dealer, with a dash mounted switch because the exhaust is controlled by electrovalves.
Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like it's the same system on the 360, the exhaust circuit is switched pass 2800 rpm, surely, there must a way of controlling manually that switching system? It would be great, sporty sounds on mountain roads and tunnels and quietness in town and on motorway.
Anyone knows more about it?
Thank you,
Fanch.
