Thank you gifts from Porsche

Nice surprise this evening... It's one month today since taking delivery of my 997S. In the mail is a small parcel from the NZ Porsche distributor. Inside, my Service Plus roadside assist card and a Porsche Design Stainless Steel ballpoint pen!! I was given a calender, cap and sweatshirt on delivery so wasn't expecting anything more. By coincidence, when I looked in the Porsche Design catalogue for a birthday gift for a friend's 40th I fancied the same pen for myself!

Went for a fun 2hr drive this afternoon, no problems with the car so far, Life with Porsche is great!!!

I got a Stainless Steel frame with my car's vin number, my name and a porsche crest with delivery date as well - very nice - Will take a pic later and post it. Was nice too

Got a lovely set of Cuff links and probably a free chrome exhaust trim to say sorry for the hassles I had during order and delivery.

I only got a Certificate of Authenticity, from the dealer not Porsche. Even Land Rover give better gifts. And Mercedes just got me some free tickets at the US Clay Court Championships here in Houston. That's MBUSA not the dealer.

Very nice idea... I wish I had a souvenir for every car I've owned, especially the more significant ones. Recently put together a html document with pages on all the cars I've owned, photos where available, and what I can remember of them. Also the cars I've test driven, dates etc.... must be a (car) nutter!!

Dilinger.. you're really hard done by in Greece.. tax situation etc, and now you have to pay for Christophorus?? I guess that's the price for living in such a beautiful country!!

Seriously... on page 122 of the Precision 911 book, it says that as a Porsche owner you "will" receive it for free. I'm guessing they use that book in Greece. Surely you could make a case with your distributor's marketing department to conform to the rest of the world!! Otherwise it would look like they don't value your business as much as they do everywhere else...

I only got the certificate of authenticity from the dealer. Nothing from Porsche. After I bought a new '03 SL500, I got flowers from the dealer, metal MB coffee cups from the dealer, and a wool blanket FedExed Saturday Delivery from Mercedes Benz. I figure Mercedes has to do that PR because their cars aren't as good as a Porsche.
