Aston Vantage Roadster
My Aston Martin Vantage Roadster arrived 3 days ago. Yesterday I had a chance to take it for a quick 60 km spin.
I am very positively surprised. Fun little car. Engine has lots of power. Level of finish is improved compared to my Rapide S that I have traded it.
Mercedes controls and interface are boring but efficient.
The Vantage has a very smooth ride in Sport (Comfort) Mode. Its a good feature that engine management and suspension settings are on separate buttons and can be set individually.
In suspension sport + the ride becomes very firm. Track mode is a bone crusher.
Engine in Sport is smooth and comfortable with well timed shifts. Sport + opens up the exhaust sound to a different level and sounds good. Also holds gears well without being too aggressive.
Track mode is hooligan mode. Stays in gear and the exhaust sound becomes....well....obnoxious. Not to my taste. Crackling and burbling. Never liked that on any car and find it obscene and silly. On the pro side the engine becomes very responsive with instant gear shifts. 8 speed ZF is very good in combination with the Merc 4.0 engine.
Colour is Ceramic Blue interior Tan with Light Blue stitching.
