Are you a fast jet pilot? An astronaut perhaps? If 189 mph seems slow you need a turbojet with reheat, not a turbocharger
The fastest I've driven in a car was 160mph in a Ferrari and that was plenty quick enough.

No I was only joking it is quite fast 
It actually feels slow compared to riding a bike though. The fastest I have been on a bike is 185mph but it feels so much faster than just calmly sitting in a car trying to get your mate to take a decent non shaky photo.
The only problem with driving that fast is that it is incredibly hard afterwards to drive at a sensible speed. I honestly felt that at a 100mph I could get out the car and walk faster!

I can't divulge my choice of roads for obvious reasons but lets just say a lot of us who want to go for a burn get someone to go ahead and check for the cops first.
As for high speeds my wife was in the car last week when we were on the way to catch a ferry and she told me to put my foot down in case we missed it. She then promptly read a book as we hurtled through Wales at 170

I have a road pilot and laser jammer so only speed when there are no cameras around. That M4 is going to prove very contreversial though with apparent convictions for 79 in a 70 which is roughly 90% of most motorists I see on a motorway.

I fitted an Origin B2 in my Boxster which has provision for a laser jamming device, but haven't fitted one yet. I believe the police guidelines are speed limit + 10% + 2mph.
I tend not to go too mad on motorways because the patrols and checks tend to be hotter on them, so I tend to go for A road blasts.
I did have a 1 hour drive in the 997 S and found it awesome. Not sure if I have sufficient restraint, self discipline and ability for a proper Porsche, so I will stick with my humble 987 S, which I find amazing anyway.

Well I test drove a GT2 and because the speedo is in a different location I didn't know how fast I was going. When I asked the salesman he said 135mph and I realised I better not buy one as it was slightly too easy to get there.

Was out for a spin in my 987s on Sat and did a max(ish) run... Looked at the road and nailed it, first time I clocked the speedo it was on 150...
Was really suprised how quickly it got there and how stable it was, although I did slow down straight after seeing it.
Not really big on speeding on the motorway, or in general (Well not crazy 190mph speeding anyway!)... I figure If I'm going to get fecked for driving slightly fast I'd rather it be on an interesting road with some twisties rather than a straight run! So I keep it to about 80-90 on the motorways...

I had an Elise and while I loved it for its ability to make me smile it was built like a 2 year olds lego model. It was in the garage more often than the road and on the day after I sold it the rear suspension collapsed.
I now get my lightweight fun from my Honda Fireblade which makes all cars seem desperately slow.
As for enjoying the twisties I do that too and have nearly gone through my third set of tyres after 5000 miles and 1 trackday.

As for downhill that is the only way I got it to 189 as on the flat it won't climb above 182mph

No 182mph on the flat and then 189 on a downhill. It might have gone faster downhill but it won't go above 182 on the flat, although it might have been windy.
