    997S ORDERED!

    Ron, Christian, I did it!!!

    Only bad news is, for the options I wanted I cannot get the car end of June as planned RC but more likely, september earliest.
    Here are my options:

    Congrats my friend sounds like an awesome car; very impressive options. Wow, X51 too this car will be a killer I truely love all the options you picked very cool dude .

    Thanks for the kind words guys!

    I thought the fire extinguisher was installed under the passenger's seat, but it says in the order guide that it is under the driver's seats.
    I plan to track the car roughly 5 times a year so you never know...
    It's a tiny bottle, only 1 kg powder so quite discreet plus it's surrounded by leather so it won't be too flashy I hope.

    Delivery should be some time in September, only problem could be the Slate grey, bc it's a special color, it lengthen the time of the waiting.
    But I like this color a lot, plus quite rare on 996/997 bc it's a special color, just like my current car (polar).

    Price wise, it's very very very painful, without going into detail, I am just shy of a 996 Turbo!


    But I basically got myself a civilised GT3 without the proeminent aerokit.

    I would also suggest to go back a review the order guide again because I think you might of forgot an option or two from the total available!

    But what is this MP3 reader in the NAV?? Is there a way to read MP3?

    Congratulations Fanch, like everyone here, I'm really looking forward to your review and some pics..roll on September. BTW I thought chrome tips were included with PSE and couldn't be ordered as an option, make sure your dealer is not taking your money for something already paid for.

    dont order Fire extinguisher !!!
    I orderd that on my 997S and it was my biggest mistake
    its not coverd in lether and if you bend your legs you can touch it
    plus one of my friends who wanted to test drive my car got wounded because of it

    I just saw a 997S Slate grey with a cocoa interior. The combination is absolutely stunning! Check it out while your order is changeable.

    Thanks again to all of you dear Rennteamers!
    The good news is, because, it's an 06 model, I have a few days to change the colour.
    To be honest I am still undecided, I might actually go for Atlas grey, my heart is in between right now.
    Maybe even Seal which looks nice but only when clean IMHO and that car will be dirty very often.
    And unfortunately, bc Seal is also available on the Cayenne, you see that colour a lot on modern Porsches.
    I LOVE Atlas, I'm just scared that it looks too dark, we'll see.
    Interior is definitely black.
    Outlaw Hawk, thank you very much for your recommandation, I will indeed cancel it seeing as it is actually slightly in the way (I think for Ferrari, it's under the passenger seat which is better IMO) and it is not covered in leather, so I'm better off bying one myself whenever I track.

    You are correct Med.
    Chrome tips come with Sport exhaust.
    I just mentionned it as a detail.
    I think it is very nice from Porsche to actually include Sport exhaust with the powerkit.

    wow, im so jealous! powerkit, pccb, adaptive sport seats, -20mm suspension!

    that really sounds like a GT3 minus the aero kit but plus some nice features that will make that an AWESOME driver around town, plus on the track!!!!

    good luck, i cant wait to hear about track behavior, i wonder what the powerkitted 997s with -20mm on nurburgring can do?

    wow, sport exhaust with the powerkit, thats cool? How much is the powerkit, for retrofit? Dose the retro fit come with the sport exhaust?


    oh, and I saw you had some color issues, I really love seal grey, it is an AWESOME color. You will really really appreciate it when the sky is totally blue, the paint looks awesome when its blue out.

    When it gets dirty, i dont notice much dramatic change in brillance, the big thing is if the sky is blue, the seal grey will look AWESOME!

    If I were you I would get either sealgrey or black, maybe red
