I bet this is the rumored reworked next generation Maserati Coupe to be the new entry-level Ferrari.
The bastard child of Ferrari and Maserati.
Yuck.

Patriek, could you please also 'hunt' for info about the next generation mid-engined Ferrari (430's replacement). I've heard rumored it's already in development. Thanks in advance!

I don't think Ferrari should do this, it will do more harm than good to them IMO
It will do a lot of harm to Porsche and Aston. This will be to Ferrari what the boxster was to Porsche 9 years ago.

Maybe they will be able to sell 5,000 a year but increasing production on that cheaper model would only make matters even worse! and hurt Ferrari even more by on top of it mass producing it (in Ferrari production terms that is), I'm sure current and future Ferrari owners would not be very happy with that. And 5,000 is still no threat to Porsche's scale of sales.

Actually, for the sake of argument, if Porsche were to lose 5000 units (net) to Ferrari, that would represent as much as 20%! (I think 25K-30k 911's are sold each year). Then you add another 3K-4k from Aston and all of a sudden it doesn't look so good for Porsche. Bear in mind, Porsche has owned this segment for many years without any real competition.
As for hurting Ferrari. How? They sold nearly 5000 cars last year. Another 5000 isn't going to make anybody shake their heads and say: No, I won't buy another Ferrari. Most people don't even know what Ferrari sells each year to care.
