    2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

I;m still bored, so I also made this version... Don't mind the disk brakes being red.. i was too lazy to make em yellow!! so for this one red is the new yellow

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

    Carlos you have a competitor

Very interesting your photoshops Atzporsche!!!, good job

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

indeed! but we are all in the same "team"

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

Atzporsche, that's eye candy indeed. Any words on when the 997 turbo cab will be obtainable, S or no S?

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

if you look at porsche's release schedule with the previous 2 generations, the 'uber cars' come later.

the Turbo Cab and C4S cab were only released in the 7th year of 996 production.

With the turbo S coming in the 8th

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

i believe the Turbo S cab was the last of the 996 generation to be introduced.. im guessing it'll definitely be another year or two at least since first there will be the GT3, C4 and C4S, Turbo, turbo cab.. maybe also targa (im not sure) then GT2, turbo S.. etc..

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

I'm not seeing that picture on the link you posted.

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

kinda disappointed though.... was hoping to get a couple of years in on my 997s cab b4 upgrading to a turbo cab. This is proably a poor marketing decision by Porsche. I'm sure there will be a bunch of cancelations now from people expecting cars fall/winter. Especially in cooler climates. Why take delivery on a cab in the fall (when you cant fully enjoy it) when you can get the turbo version in the spring?

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

    Cantwait2getmine,

I wouldn't mind getting the turbo cab in the dead of winter, what with the AWD plus PSM and heated seats, even where I'm from (Rochester, NY) with 100 inches of snow a year, I'll take one as soon as possible, even for Christmas.

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

yes... any sane person would take a 997tc at any time.... my point was .. all the people who ordered 997 and 997s cabs for fall/winter delivery will be thinking twice about it (if they can afford it) and possibly waiting for the TC if its only a few more moths away.

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

i guess it wont come out any time soon... first we got to see the C4 and C4S and also the Targa and GT3.. then the Turbo... so they're just already testing it... might not mean anything

I understood what you were saying.

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

    Also Cantwait2getmine!
While you're at the dealer tomorrow get a deposit down on a 997 Turbo cab. It can't hurt. I'm sure they already have deposits but better now then not at all for an early car. It would be refundable if you changed your mind. At least you know you'll have a chance to get an early car before all the knuckleheads in the world that only find out about a cars launch by seeing it on the street. Then you could flip the Scab while the cars are still hot. I plan on being the 1st guy with a Turbo Cab. I've already given my deposit.

Remember to bring a camera for tomorrow and remind yourself to take the transaction slow enough to enjoy it ! Also keep it cool on those greenhorn tires. GOOD LUCK !

Beat you too it..... I have had it on order for about a month now Dealer told me I was crazy to order so soon... he had no idea it would be out next year some time. Obviously im 1st on the list there too. Best part was that since I had pre-traded in my 996 cab and am buying this one from them they didnt make me give a penny down for the turbo.

Since i beat u by a month on the "s" i'll give you 1st for the turbo

Since Im not a Porsche virgin i will be able to appriciate this transaction a little more than the 1st time. Will still be a little tough sitting in that seat while he shows me how to start the engine and engaged the emergency brake As for posting the picts.... unless there is an internet connection in the car -- it might be a few days until they get posted

    Re: 2006 997 Turbo Cabriolet

i would like to add that 997 turbo is said by latest rumor to be 480HP and not 500 HP according to 911 and Porsche World-current issue.

I don't blaim you for taking off. We don't expect to see you back here until you rack up a few thousand miles. I am actually planning a weeks vacation around the delivery date of my car.
    HAVE FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
