Does someone know what tires the STO had in that review? The Race? I was actually quite happy with it, even at lower temps BUT maybe that was the problem: Drove a Cup 2 on one occasion at around 13°C and it was pretty slippery.

    Huracán STO: Bridgestone Potenza Race

    Black Series: Cup 2 R

    GT3: Cup 2 R

So far, I think that Michelin makes the best track tires for street legal cars and since Porsche and Lamborghini are working together in certain domains, I am surprised to see that Lamborghini chose Bridgestone for their STO semi-slick. I remember Porsche not having that great of an experience with Bridgestone semi-slicks for the Turbo S. Smiley

The  991 GT3 or GT3 RS has always been delivered from the factory with either Michelin or Bridgestone and now Pirelli on the 992. It was random which tire you got.

Don't think they supplied any cars with Bridgestones, but they did use Dunlops. My old 991 GT3RS came with Dunlop SportMaxx.

And with the 992, they have re-branded the Dunlops as Goodyear.

    Re: 992 GT3

OK. I have a slot for a GT3 Touring. I will ask for thoughts albeit I am most likely to make up my own mind in the end…. But views are welcome. Only choice to make is color, paint and wheels. I don’t like silver wheels, so please let’s not go there!!!

    Colors:
    1. Jet Black Metallic. Black wheels [ULTIMATE STEALTH]
    2. Jet Black Metallic. Wheels painted in Satin Neodyme. Maybe “PORSCHE’ side logo in Neodyme [GOLD HIGHLIGHTS MAKE IT LOOK A BIT SPECIAL]
    3. Agate Grey Metallic. Blacvk wheels [PERHAPS PREFER TO BLACK/BLACK BUT THE CAYENNE TT IS SAME COLOR]
    4. Guards Red. Black wheels [LOOKS GREAT BUT TOO MUCH OF A FERRARI COLOR?]

    Spec:

    - Sports seats plus 4-way (secretly planning on getting rear seats so they need to be foldable!0
    - Interior trim with decorative stitching (Racing Yellow)
    - Touring package exterior in  black
    - Lightweight carbon roof
    - Protective front foil
    - Exclusive design fuel cap
    - Exterior upper trims in carbon
    - Manual
    - Chrono pkg
    - PCCB
    - Front axle lift
    - PDLS Plus in black
    - Exclusive design taillights
    - Auto dimming mirrors
    - ParkAssist with reverse camera
    - Light design pkg
    - Seat heating (hmmm…)
    - Storage pkg
    - Seat belts in racing yellow
    - Porsche crest on storage compartment lid
    - Dash and door pkg in leather
    - Roof lining and A/B/C in Race-Tex
    - Sun visors in Race-Tex
    - Carbon interior pkg (not the matt one!)
    - Pedals in alu
    - BOSE

Thoughts and advice welcome. Not that easy…

    Re: 992 GT3

Just to add another permutation, I've seen Guards with Neodyme and thought it looked very good

Just one remark…metallic colors are easier to maintain…and, a big +1 taking seat heating…Smiley

    Re: 992 GT3

Go check out the expanded Porsche colour palette and come back with 4 more colours?

Guards Red isn't a Ferrari colour. It's a classic Porsche colour since the 964 days. It and the Ferrari reds are very different shade wise.

From before that! I'd say that it was the quintessential 80's 911 Carrera colour.

Red and gold wheels are a Lamborghini thing though.

    Re: 992 GT3

Perfect specs . Only needs leather steering wheel column to make it complete.

As for the color/rims, being a car that will be probably used as a sort of DD,  I would go for 1 or 2,  2 being a little bit  more special but having to live with the extra attention it will draw

    Congratulations for the slot !

Out of your proposals I personally would go for Agate Grey. But have you seen the one below in GT Silver ? I find it absolutely beautiful. I would chose stiching and seat belts in racing yellow.

    Beautiful GT3 touring.

    Re: 992 GT3

Great in the photo—in the real world of silver/black cars everywhere, may seem ordinaryyes

    Re: 992 GT3

I don't think any color on a car like could make it look ordinary :) then again I'm getting delivery of my GT3 in 3 weeks, and I chose GT silver, so I'm biased.  It's the first silver car I will have ever purchased, all my other porsches have been bright blues or blacks!  This time I wanted something more subtle and classy, and I'm excited.

    @steelested

Silver and more so GT Silver is the symbolic colour for Porsche. Congratulations Smiley

The carbon roof saves negligible weight but it adds a lot to the styling.

It would have been nice if the exhaust pipes could be specified in silver, but I think this is possible only on the Carrera models.

    @reginos thanks

you can get silver exhaust but I chose to de chrome the windows which in turn makes the P O R S C H E script black and also the exhaust

i might change The script to stain neodyme as per the wheels later
