    F430 Competitor?

    My friend was intrested in buying a F-430 but he backed down on it because he found out that in the U.S. it will not have L.C. What other cars do you think can compeat with it performance and price wise. remeber that the f-430 does 3.5 0-60, 7.9 0-100, 1/4 mile 11.7 some one please awenser

    I think giving up the car because it has no LC is absurd. It's a virtually useless gimick in my mind. If he wants to go drag racing, tell him to buy a tricked out Honda Civic that does the 1/4 mile in 10 sec.

    If he want a sportscar, the F430 is a great choice...

    highly doubt anyone "backs out of" a US F430 which is bring $60 to $80K premiums to MSRP right now unless he was in fact going to have to be one of the suckers paying that premium.

    tell your friend to get a Gallardo. Way better than an F430.

    huh, who the heck wants AWD on a "sport car"? as if that isn't enough, the gears are way too tall for a sports car. it does sound great (not as good as a 430 though). the 2 yr/24k warranty sucks and i don't know if gallardos are as prone to leak oil as all the lambos that preceeded it (including the murci). this all helps explain the huge premiums on the already more expensive 430 and the huge discounts on the gallardo despite production numbers being substantially higher on the F430.

    The 430 does not do 0-60 in 3.5 second.
    Wait for the 520bhp Gallardo spider or the 550bhp 2006 Gallardo.

    bull, tell yout friend to rechange his mind. If it does 3.5 to 60 with l.c. it will do 3.7 without it wich is a diference that he will not notice. And the handeling is way superrior to any other alternatives.

    that must be the most stupid reason I have ever heard for not buying a Ferrari, "backing out because no LC".

    I'm planning to sell the 430, because I don't use the LC, so what else is the car good for ..
    I backed out for a enzo also, because it had no rear spoiler

    Well as everyone know when the 360 modena came out it had some options correct? Well after th first years it was on the market it started getting more options to add on the car, does anyone think that in the futre there will be possibilities that a U.S. 430 will have the L.C. as an option

    First of all I don't consider LC to be an option. Secondly I can't understand why someone can make so much fuss about LC or not LC and thirdly, no I don't think LC will be be available for the US.

    My freind is just like that he's young and cocky and loves to race agisnt people on the streets, for example the new vette Z06 is coming out that car has the same stats ass the 430 in the R&T issue does anybody know why U.S. wont have L.C.

    If your friend is so intent on drag starts, tell him to buy the manual transmission version and learn to drive it well. For the BMW M3 cars, the well driven manual tranny versions always beat the launch controlled SMGII cars on the drag strip...

    But, if his primary interest is in these types of starts, there's going to be alot of wear on the car and lots of pricey maintenance...

    He has a stradle right now and I told him he should wait for a 430 stradale in a email but he hasent awensered

    Does he use the LC alot on the Stradale? Does he do any track driving?

    he does use the L.c. a lot he has had the clutch replaced once. He has only gone to a track once in California

    your friend sounds like he'd be more @ home in gran tourismo than a real sports car. He wants all of the speed...but doesn't want to put the effort forth to learn how to drive a manual... Dont be to suprised when he winds up in the hospital because he crashed his car due to not knowing how to drive it
