    Cayman Spy picks vs. The One seen on track with 997 turbo

    Checkout these picks comparing the the spy picks we have usually seen with the stange cayman seen on a track with a 997 turbo.

    Now the following I'm pretty sure are not real picks but seem to have some features from the first three photos and some from the last three.
    For this one, notice the air intake....

    This may sound dumb but it almost seems that the first three pics are of a midengine version of the 997 turbo that they are trying out.

    The part I circled doesn't look flush with the body...it's not a smooth transition. I think that's just camoflage.

    Also notice how the area around the rear window is raised. That indicates to me that the rear is just a sort of cover-up shell which most likely includes the "air-inlets" portion as well.

    RC, are these old pics?
    I doubt it could be 997 4S because it seems quite sure to me that it is mid engine.

    well if the car above is infact the cayman i wonder how they are managing to cool a mid engine configuration without side air vents?

    Yes. Those with the heavy camouflage are some of the very first pics of the Cayman.

    I call it a photoshop for sure. Look at the lines of the rear fenders....almost flat. Boxster side grills, Boxster nose (this is one thing that supposed to be different), fake looking windows, etc.

    Its a photoshop... look at the rear brake calipers, notice anything strange?
