Car dropped for the last week, then I'm sure it will be perfect for me. The LSD felt its age, allowing a bit of slip before locking, so it's being upgraded to Cup-spec. Dropped mine and returned with my friends's stock 996 RS, cool to see/drive them side by side. His much more pleasant on the road, mine felt like more of an occasion.

That's probably due to the 'Radio 1' tunes in the cabin.
You have to get your sérieux elsewhere when driving a red-wheeled car.

Here's the plates originally fitted in the diff. They now fitted the plates from a 3.8 GT3 Cup, reacts very nicely. Playful under the throttle but not locking too much that I pushes the nose forwards into corners. Perfectly set-up now, for next seasons. Will fit its pyjama soon for hibernation?

The rebuilt engine had a health check as it’s now been 20k km since the upgrade had been made, seemed wise to me to check how it is performing. It blew me and the mechanics away, 471hp and 511Nm, 😳
All good with the internals!

First track outing of the year, turned out to be a COLD one. -2°C and a dusting of snow, but what a car. I enjoy driving it so much, you really have to work with the 911-dynamics to get the most from it. But when you do, it rewards in spades, fantastic piece of kit. And with the modifications it's still properly quick, on the straight it was dead-even with a 997.1 Turbo.

It looks/feels tiny. Which leaves you more road/track to use...

BjoernB:Epic - love my 997RS to bits as well - so much smaller and more "911" even if the new products are faster
I can imagine, that's the one I would love to put next to this one at some point. 997.2 3.8. And a GT4 RS to finish it off.
