ONLY if that is what you are looking for. Most people would not notice. Regarding performance, my understanding is the only advantage of the CCM is weight and lack of brake dust. Stopping power is about the same.

STOPPING POWER FOR ROAD USE IS EVEN LESS, A LOT LESS !!!

... I know, because I have them on my 430

doubt very seriously it is the brakes (more likely new suspension, etc in the 430). put the corsas on your 430 (like are only my stradale), and you'll be back on here to tell us the brake fairy must have put on some new and amazing brakes while you slept. i highly doubt the same 430 with the same tires will produce shorter braking distances with the carbon over the steel. however, brake feel is a LOT better on the carbons. now, if you were to go out on a very technical track and drive the [censored] out of them, you would see better performance out of the carbon which are impervious to brake fade. that said, do that a couple times and see how much lighter your wallet is when pads and/or rotors need be replaced they will slightly improve ride quality, turn in, etc though only because of their reduction in weight.

    Ben,
If you're careful enough, wouldn't it be enough to just change the pads or you also need to change the rotors regularly?
I heard only the pads need to be change about every four track outtings.

yep, probably just the pads, but they're certainly not cheap by themseves.

Changing rotors should be no issue, perhaps except when car is tracked regularly. Pads cost around 600 Euro p.p.

do they be changed all four at once ?

By axle is fine, you don't have do the whole car. Altho if it's anything like the 360 both axles wear at about the same rate in track use.

Nick, did you order the optional battery charger ? ........ I did, but didn't use it for 1 and 1/2 week and now I have already a flat battery , .... it's charging right now, because I was going for a ride, but now I see it will start to rain , .... there goes my ride (weather forecast for Belgium : rain, rain, rain ....

No I did not. My Spider had it and I never used it. I typically drive my car every day so the car should remain charged. However because I just bought a second home which I will be using a week or so at a time, I am beginning to wonder whether I should have ordered one.

How long has it been between drives which caused the battery to drain?

Re: FINALLY my 430 is on the water and should be delivered

Why is there still talk about batteries in modern Ferraries, one would think that they would make these things better. Do batteries go flat on normal cars to if you don't use them for 10 days - I don't think so. Why so many problems with Ferraries?

If you think Ferrari has many problems, then I suggest you take a look at the Porsche boards. The 997 has problems extending far beyond the battery. This, after all, is the supposedly reliable sports car.

nick, a week or two in this climate is not going to matter. as you know, my stradale has sat 2 or 3 weeks or more several times since i bought it and i've never had even a stutter from the battery on start up. however, a trickle charger may in fact extend the life of the battery.

10 DAYS, .... when I took delivery of the car, the dealer was going to make a test drive with me, but when he triend to start it .... YES flat battery , He told me that the guy who cleaned the car for delivery didn't close the doors (that light in it) and that should have caused the flat battery ?!?
But it's common with Ferrari, I had the same problem with my 348, but now I have also a automatic battery charger on it, and had no problems anymore.
BTW: I did took the car for a ride, and of course, I enjoyed it, really a great car, Nick, YOU WILL LOVE IT

Patriek, I don't think the F430 can be worse with batteries than the F360. So flat battery after only 10 days? No way, even more because it's a new car with a brand new battery. So I guess, there could be something with your battery or with your eletrics. Perhaps the first flat battery ruined the battery? Or what charger did they use? Batteries of 360/CS/430 need special charger because these models use gel batteries.

At the time I took delivery, they charged it, by using another battery, that was connected with a charger (that's the way it should be, told me the mechanic, I charged with a 'normal' charger.

But I never heard of "gel" batteries

These batteries are common at bikes and they are used in cars, where the battery sits inside the car (as in case of 360/CS/430). Advantage is, that they don't emit battery gas and therefore can be used inside the car. Disadvantage is, that they are quite expensive, well I guess you've expected that after your CCM-experience, right?
Anyway, they need a special battery charger with a special charging method.

Re: FINALLY my 430 is on the water and should be delivered

I have a question to make.
I wanted to order the battery charger too, but the ferrari dealer of Greece told me that it is useless as the car has a switch which disconnects the battery. (so in his opinion i wont have any problem.)

Do you believe that i have to order the charger?!

The battery diconnecting switch works very well, even over a longer period (e.g. 3 months). After being diconnected, you have to reprogram clock and radio though.
Battery can be charged easily after removing the foot plate in the passenger compartment (two screws), but you have to use a special battery charger, suitable for gel batteries.

Before I picked up my car the dealer installed a very small wire that connects to the battery. I don't have to open the battery cover or anything. I just connect that wire to the wire on the battery tender that he gave me as a gift. It's very convenient. The battery tender plugs into a normal wall outlet. It worked great this past winter. Most of the time you see the same devices connected in Ferrari's at dealerships in the Northeast.

If you enlarge the picture you can see the small wire that hooks to the battery :

Re: FINALLY my 430 is on the water and should be delivered

why not just drive it and charge it that way? autogallery replaced the silly italiono battery in my CS with an interstate also.
