Panoramic Roof

This is the latest design for the Cayenne Panoramic Roof. It just arrived at my local dealer. This order was configured prior to the current hold being placed on pano roofs. This is the first time I have seen a Panoramic roof in person, but I believe this is not the design Porsche started with. If I recall correctly, the original design had glass sections folding up accordian-style rather than this stacked-glass arrangement.

Thanks for posting the pics. I wonder what item would use the blank switch cover shown on the left in the pic?

It's used in European models with the phone module as a switch for Emergency calls.

Looks pretty good!

I have a question though...does a glass roof, such as in the Targa and the Panoramic Roof seen here really make the car that much more top heavy compared to normal sheet metal? Does that mean the glass would be heavier than sheet metal?

I have heard that those glass is heavier than metal. I may be wrong but thats what I know.
