Re: Audi e-tron GT
EV savvy people, especially from the Tesla side, will focus on miles charged per minute.
250 miles in a Plaid, that translate to how much charge needed? Are you calculating the 250 mile range from the EPA number? You do realize not a single Tesla ever matched their EPA rating right? So how will you know you put in 250 mile range from the plug?
But that's not realistic as driving style, weather, temperature, gradient of the roads, equipment active onboard all affects the miles per kW figure. I can drive a Model 3, exactly the same as yours, and we will have completely different miles per kW rating. Your 250 miles will be different than my 250 miles.
The general public all uses a different metric, empty, half full, full, etc, so % of charge, kW per minute will be the most important metric to trying sell EV cars. Industry never caught onto the miles per minute charge metric, no one else other than Tesla uses it. Not even the new start up like Lucid and Rivian. Heck even Elon himself no longer mention it either. Car reviewers do mention it just so Tesla people can do the comparison instead of doing the math themselves however.
