G55 AMG encounter

Today I saw a G 55 AMG at a fuel station and although it didn't look too spectacular (well, the sidepipes were pretty nice though), the exhaust SOUND was AWESOME, extremely LOUD, absolutely incredible. This guy accelerated from standstill up to around 60-70 kph and I was standing outside to fill up my car. The sound sounded like that typical V8 growl on classic US cars but much much louder.

I just wish Porsche would offer the same exhaust sound/note on their Cayenne Turbo. Kudos to AMG.

I love those 'G's don't really get them in the UK but I've seen a few in the UAE when I've been there..a classy alternatice to a Cayenne or Range Rover..

they're required driving-accessories for agents in my crazed beverly hills commercial 'hood--

i know people are anxious about the next incarnation of the G--according to most, it's sadly just an M-class on steroids...

supposedly Jay Kay flipped one into the lake on his estate whine driving around in a rainstorm?

proper rockstar stuff.

i'd rather have a range rover sport though

I forgot to add: of course this was the supercharged G55 AMG with the E55 engine, not the normally aspirated one.
