Me! I have to finalize spec by tomorrow morning and I'm going crazy! I've narrowed it down to four colors with all the same spec, can I have some thoughts by tomorrow:) I am not choosing a flashy color, but keeping it safe in case I ever want/need to resell. I'm expecting delivery Dec/Jan.

Mine arrived in New Zealand mid August. It took a month before I got it due to NZ being in lockdown. It looks far better in the real than in the photos...

Thanks for all the replies! This car looks good in almost every color, alas, I've gone for the GT Silver, sent in the final order this morning:) I'm super excited, never had a silver 911 before, previously they've been all been either Black or a shade of Blue. Congrats to all of you have ordered and received your cars, Jan feels quite far away now....

Yes the Alfa and the GT3 are about the same length. The GT3 is wider and lower. The Alfa is a mid size sedan.
Grant. Im definately enjoying it so far.
Im enjoying that it feels so "fresh" compared to the last two generations of GT3 Ive had in the garage spanning some 8 years now. From the exterior asthetic to the interior tech, the front suspension, brakes and the gearbox change for 6speed manual to PDK it feels like I have bought a completely different car - which is a nice reminder each time I see/drive it as to where my money has gone!
Watt. I havent taken it to a track day yet as Auckland and Waikato are level 3 lockdown and the track days I had booked have been postponed or cancelled. Also, I havent completed the break in period yet (had a long driving trip with other Porsche owners booked for next weekend to complete the break in but unfortunately that has been postponed now).
All that being said I have taken it down to my local track in Taupo to bed in the RT RE10 I had fitted at the dealer prior to delivery. I did 20 laps in two sessions (private track hire so no one there but myself and a friend in his 991 Turbo). The first session was bedding in the brakes. The second session was taking one of the track personel around for a few laps). On the second session I could explore the car a bit while trying to honour the 7000 rpm limit (well this isnt strictly possible LOL). I had it in sport mode and the tyres were full street pressure so we way over the pressure you would typically set for the track. I was taking it very easy and was quite suprised at how quick my times were relatively speaking when I looked at the track telemetrics from the AIM system and camera afterwards. The turn in is noticeable but more importantly the lack of understeer allows you to get on the gas that little bit earlier. Brand new Cup2s are always quick even if they were 10psi too high. I have made no changes to the factory settings. I will do this when the second set of tyres are fitted once I have experienced the car properly on a variety of my local tracks. The car cannot be compared to my 991.2 as that was manual and has a mechanical diff (which on our tight tracks I found means you cant get on the gas as early exiting a corner). Compared to my old 991.2 at this track I should think that ultimately its around 2s a lap quicker. So 1s a lap quicker than before. However I think the car will be alot less on the edge to achieve those times.
FYI for those getting the car for track work. The OBDII port is now under the drivers steering column if you are connecting an OBDII plug for an AIM Solo DL or such like. Before for RHD cars it was in the fuse box passenger side. Also 991 GT3 pads fit perfectly front and rear. You will need a new trickle charger for the Lipo4 battery.
Other things to know. The side quarter windows are prone to crack if they are pushed hard. They are thin cornell glass. Also the window screen is thinner than 992 Carrera and almost twqice the price. Already some delivered cars here have cracked windows in only a few hundred km! On the german PFF forum I see many have had to replace screens, one guy twice! Our roads are dirty and on the track sometimes the guy in front puts his tyre in the dirt so I had a STEK windscreen film fitted when the car was new. Its invisible to the eye but there are some minor distortions created from the cockpit when driving - not enough to be disorientating but obviously its not quite as perfect as glass - probably like a window tint film vs glass. Id advise anyone doing track work have one fitted before the car leaves the showroom. Its cheaper than a new screen and might give you a little more time before you have to buy a new screen etc.
