    What's wrong with this car?

Would you buy it, and if you did, would you leave it as is? It's been sitting at my dealer for three weeks (tiptronic)

Re: What's wrong with this car?

It doesn't have a steering wheel.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

What does the sticker say? It is a base car with an S badge. Did the dealer do this?

Re: What's wrong with this car?

It's really a Carrera but has the "Carrera S" badge. Or, it's really a Carrera S but has the non-S exhaust pipes.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

It looks to be badged wrong. No red calipers, wrong rims and not an "S" exhaust. Plus the reflection shows it's sponsored by McDonald's

Re: What's wrong with this car?

ive already seen one of these on the road

alot of insecure people out there.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Tool pants,
doesn't need a steering wheel : get a steering ARM on the back window ...

Re: What's wrong with this car?

first of all, it has a steering wheel.
    It's just RHD,that all.

Secondly, it's not been badged wrong. It's simply the base model "designated" as an S.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

No more Tiptronics, sir! After all it's a sports car..

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Dear Tool Pants,
    Dear Dilinger,
    Let's avoid misunderstanding.
I suggest everybody to add to your posts the three letters :
    FDP for first degree post
    SDP for second degree post
and for the administrators only :
TDP for third degree post, that everybody believes to be the same as the first degree (but that's wrong)

Re: What's wrong with this car?

No bumperettes on the rear end. Nice. Leave it as is.

Oh and ummm, and it needs 19-in wheels IMHO.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    what is pumpettes Holminator???

cartouche, sorry missed your joke ;(

Re: What's wrong with this car?

This appears to be a non-S 997 (black calipers, 18" wheels, dual exhaust tips) that has a Carrera S badge on the deck lid. Was this is a mistake at the factory or something a prior owner did Leong?

Re: What's wrong with this car?

Bumperettes are those little Dingens/thing-a-ma-bobs that stick out from back end around North American license plates.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

oh got it!! we dont have them in Greece thank God!!

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Dilinger,
Don't joke ! They LOVE so much the boobs, that they pick some even in the back of their cars...
    Security reason.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

we had bumperettes for the 996 models but not for the 997
but I like it this way

    sorry,still dont get the joke

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Dilinger,
    You're welcome.Parakallo.
    FDP

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    haha! euxaristo
LAst time you were SDP now FDP??

Re: What's wrong with this car?

way too funny.... and i thought the posts about carrying a shotgun in your 997 couldnt be topped.

Personally I dont get it. I for one was strongly thinking about removing the "S" badge from mine to make it seem like a standard. Less is more!!!! Why draw even more attention. Hey.... maybe they'd sell it quicker if they put a ferrari logo on it.

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    hahah thats a good one!!

But whu make it look standard ? that's again strange

Re: What's wrong with this car?

Curious, whats this car worth in NZ $?

Re: What's wrong with this car?

with the fake badge or without?

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Dilinger,
To avoid some misunderstanding with some extremely narrow-minded people, I suggested to precise which sort of post you send :
    FDP for first degree post
    SDP for second degree post
    That's it !
    Certified FDP

Re: What's wrong with this car?

just debadging it. those who are in the know would know. Bad enough clients see me in a Porsche... dont need them to know its a "S". Have to question the reason some people actually buy an "S"... because they would enjoy it more... or for the snob appeal!!!! My pen*s is big enough!!!

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Mine is too tiny...
I need a "S", like "Snob", to proove my clients I spend their money a smart way. Cheers

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Cartouche sorry for re-asking

But exactly to what does "your" degree refers?
Maybe my english isnt so good after all!!

Re: What's wrong with this car?

    Dilinger,
Well it will be difficult, because my english is much worse than your's. And in modern Greek, I only understand eucharisto and parakallo...
    So let's go :
first degree means that you say what you say without any irony, humor, mockery, derision, scorn, or such things
second degree means you think approximately the contrary of what you say
third degree is a refined form of first degree, that leaves a doubt about what you really mean...
The next degrees are not made for a Web forum.
Now let's talk about cars !
You know, all that stuff about irony and so far, it's to quiet down the madness I endure waiting this bloody car (may or june) !
