I'd say it has two central exhaust tips, just like a 488, Speciale or GT3. The four standard exhaust tips are just camouflage.

Dunno if that's legit or not since I don't see any official announcement, but if it is, LOL. That looks like $25K of tacked on crap.

So I suppose the fact they're only charging $22,484 for it makes the tacked-on crap good value for money.

Optional aero package for the Huracán. Also centerlock 20" wheels and stripe.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

What is it with Audi and those stripes...  yes

Btw: I heard that the Huracan facelift gets 640 hp...out of the same 5.2 l engine. So I guess there is some power left in this fabulous engine.

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

I wish the VW Group would stop with the center-locks already (unless they create a design that is more reliable and easy to use - I guess with AWD the front wheel won't spin when applying the necessary huge torque, unlike GT2 & 3).

Question to those who might know: will the V10 in the Huracan be replaced by a twinturbo V8 any time soon?

No. Even the facelift is supposed to get a V10. The next generation is a different story though I'm afraid.

According to a guy who tunes V10 engines for a living, the current V10 engine is good for 650 hp without any major mods and/or a capacity increase. The current 610 hp V10 is even "detuned" slightly to reduce torque because of the S tronic gearbox (Audi R8 V10 Plus has 560 Nm torque and this torque is artificially limited, usually the engine would deliver over 600 Nm). So any tuner would need to increase power without torque because the gearbox can't take it. Not really a problem on a n/a engine.

Fun fact: The R8 V10 (without Plus, the 540 hp engine) has the same engine as the Plus variant, no hardware differences. No kidding. Power increase through tuning is difficult though because of various software protection routines and the different gearbox gearing ratio. Same goes to the 580 hp LP-580, it is just software, no hardware.

Also, the upcoming Huracan Superleggera (and Audi GT) will get around 630-640 hp without any major hardware mods, same engine.

What worries me a little bit is the rumor that Audi wants to offer a bi-turbo V6 for an entry level R8, rumored power is 500 hp. I doubt however that such a model would haven any impact on the Huracan. I do not see a V6 bi-turbo on a Lamborghini sportscar any time soon. Smiley

It is a pretty cynical exercise to detune an NA motor for both power and torque (could understand it more easily with a turbo motor that reduces boost).  The only easy way to reduce torque in an NA motor is simply to prevent full throttle from happening (even with the gas pedal to the floor, the e-throttle doesn't open all the way).Smiley

This is exactly what they're doing...throttle doesn't fully "open". This can be corrected by a software mod but of course the warranty goes out the window, one reason I haven't done it yet. I am waiting for ABT to offer their "official" R8 tuning kit but if it costs more than 5k EUR, rumored power increase is 30 hp, I'll pass. The good thing about ABT: My dealer can "add" this tuning to the lease and I do not loose the warranty. Apparently MTM will offer a similar deal soon as well. Good for Audi customers.

Check it for both the Huracan and 488
    both go from 0-250kph 13sec
    H goes 0-300 22sec
    They didn't show the 488 0-300
    https://youtu.be/QcR1ckR42SE?t=3m56s

    Re: Lamborghini Huracan and variants

    H definitely doesn't go 0-300 in 22s. Maybe off a cliff. Speedo isn't accurate.

Read a couple of reviews, Huracan did 0-300 kph in 28.x seconds, new R8 V10 Plus was always 0.4-0.5 seconds faster, not that it really matters (these fractions of a second don't say much at that speed).

22 seconds for the Huracan? Impossible. Never ever. Not even the Aventador SV does 0-300 kph in 22 seconds. Smiley

Huracan/R8 keep up with the 488 up to 180-190 kph and then, the 488 starts to slowly move away, even more so at speeds over 250 kph.

Only issue may be the speed of the Lamborghini on the road.  That road is 30 mph (50 km/) and for the car to shear into two sections suggests a higher velocity when it impacted the light pole.

That's true. The fact that the Lambo might be deemed to have been approaching the light at excessive speed would diminish the Lincoln driver's blame for the collision.

I don't think this is a good sign...they might do it because they switch from the V10 to a turbo charged V8 or even V6 instead. Bad news I guess.
