    PCM Faceplate

    Personally I prefer the interior of the 997 over the 996 but I have always disliked the faceplate of the PCM. Porsche is working on Aluminum (prototype picture below) and Leather versions. No release date yet.

    I wonder how it would look in carbon fiber. I thought of ordering a stock one and making a mold of it and then do it in carbon fiber. I think with a black interior, a carbon fiber one might look good.

    If anyone has interest in either painted to match exterior finish, or alumalook, just say the word.

    Carbon Fiber is also possible.

    carbon eh???? wonderfull my ex BMW was fully carboned inside from schnitzer

    Please tell us more. I ordered several of the aluminum look packages for my 997 cab and wish I could have gotten the PCM finished as well.

    Took us nearly a year to finalize the formula for the current alumalook. Parts for 997 are a bit scarce at the moment, but we are slowly building inventory and would expect to have finished parts available for core exchange in April/May time frame.

    dont understand that porshe uses cheap painted plastics. in a mini ok but in a 911 ??

    raise the price 1k bucks and make it all aluminium.

    How would making a non-load-bearing part like a dash panel out of aluminium instead of plastic make that part better, unless you consider increased weight to be a virtue?

    I've been told the price will be less than EUR 1,000 for the Aluminum and slightly more than that for the Leather option.
