CGX car nut:How much downforce is that thing going to generate?
Over 750kg probably? But the other interesting thing is the active nature of the aero will reduce drag in a straight line from the last model, despite adding much more downforce

reginos:If this thing enters production, it will probably be the most extreme looking road car from an original manufacturer, in history.
Only serious drivers will need to apply. For anyone else it will look like a joke.
A quick trip to Starbucks for a coffee and a double choc muffin...
...does my rear wing look big in the mirror?

Leawood911:Any news on the gt2rs?
I think GT2 RS has only ever come towards the end of the .2 of a generation (several years away)
Hopefully that will give Porsche enough time to give it a proper Motorsport engine this time (should be a turbocharged version of GT3 motor, not a boosted version of wet sump Turbo motor).

Amen to that! Dry sump
Porker:spudgun:I think that spoiler is borderline stupid.
I do too, and yet I'm afraid I'm beginning to get a soft spot for the car itself. I hope it goes away.
When I see these pics, I see the huge frustration a driver would have driving this monster on a public road.
I'm probably a minority here but for road use, I would always choose a 'simple' Carrera S instead of this thing that clearly belongs on a (big) track.

I agree though it depends one the styling of the rest of the car. One thing is certain. It will be a very aggressive looking car.
I'm still sitting on the fence but I probably will get one. Starbucks needs excitement.
The purpose of life is to enjoy the moment.

spudgun:I think that spoiler is borderline stupid.
I don't think it's borderline stupid, I think it's clearly stupid. On the track no problem at all, but if the owner takes the car to the street then there is no if or buts, those proportions are cartoonish of Russian aftermarket tuner proportions...
The 992GT3RS has clearly been designed for 90% track use, and the 10% remaining is to go to the track and back, for anything else you have the "regular" GT3.

Does that soft spot getting harder and longer?
Is Kate Bock sitting on the car?

spudgun:Imagine sitting in a traffic jam with that wing. 👀
Well, in that case you can't complain the RS is not a practical car... the wing will provide ample shelter from the burning sun, it will be excellent to serve as monkeybars for some trafficjam workout, or function as a standing table to put some beers, snacks etc. on. Before you know it, you'll have one of these old fashioned brilliant pub evenings, right in the middle of your traffic jam!

Always see the opportunities
And before we know it Porsche Exclusive will develop a picnic table addon to that wing.
