icelink for ipod from dension

for those not familiar with the must have option.... it allows you to play and control your ipod through the radio systems as it was a cd changer (check out there site). Have one in my suv and cant imagine going backwards in my Porsche.... a must have!!!

Hope this isn't a dumb question, but what happens if you have the cd changer already? Will this icelink still work?

I had something similar in my BMW for satellite radio. I used a Blitzsafe adaptor for the satellite radio that plugged into the pre-wired cd changer outlet. If I'd had the cd changer it wouldn't have worked.

Great! I didn't order a CD changer. Hope it works out. One reason I passed on the CD changer is that I tend to leave the CD's in there for a long time.

Yes it does work...have the ICELINK in my 04 Range Rover and its amazing...2000 songs at my fingertips and I can control volume and tracks from steering wheel or head unit... best thing they ever invented.

Basically the icelink adapter plugs into where the cd changer would.... so you can not use the two of them. But why would you need the cd changer anyway.

You can just put all your music on the ipod.

Also, I believe there are some companies (sony I believe) that make a a/b switch that will allow you to do both. Just makes for a more complicated and messier install.

exactly...but in the 997 you still can use the CD in head unit obviously...cant wait till its available
