    4-door 911 derivation....

    and 997 -> 998 rumor....

    The 911 derived 4-seater does exist in prototype form.

    There is an elongated 911 floor pan running around with different engines in it, a 4-litre flat 6 with gas injection developing 400-bhp
    (due in the 997 facelift in 2008) and also a 4.5/5.0-litre V8 which surprisingly fits under the 911's bodywork.

    i have been told in the past by a PCNA employee that there are derivatives of the 911 and Boxster being tested all the time with different engine wheelbase and transmission configurations
    sometimes they even disguise the cars as different brands
