JZ:Thanks all. I think this one is a keeper. It was phenomenal on some of the roads around Adenau and Nurburg.
Did you try that particular one that is 20.6km long?

Unfortunately it was a manufacturers morning on Friday and the Ring was closed to the public. I'll be back next year when the car is fully broken in and I am ready for it. We watched at Brunchen while various camouflaged models were tested and the two that stood out were the Audi RS3 saloon which had horrible screeching understeer, and the Mercedes GLC AMG variant which was monstering the corners. My first ring visit, but not my last.
otisdog:I have pictures that basically duplicate the ones you posted...even parked at the same spot @ Pistenklause! Yes, factory delivery is special, get way to start your journey.
I was there too, but walked from the hotel at the track

Thanks all. I have completely fallen for this one. Can imagine what more I would want in a Porsche. It's currently having harness and extinguisher being fitted, so having to drive a Macan for a few days - it's nice, but nowhere near the sports car experience.
As long as selling SUV's allows Porsche to make cars like the GT4, then it gets my approval...

Yep, drove mine this past weekend after a 2-month nap in the garage. It's pretty great (and great value, given the current state of other offerings).

JZ:True, but the Belgium traffic was so bad it'll be hard to stomach either way!!
Don't know which we you came back but I've had many a frustrating hour queuing for the Kennedy Tunnel in Antwerp.... Wish now we'd opted for Factory Collection with our Boxster GTS but at the time there was a deal of uncertainty as Porsche had only just restarted the factory collection package. It does make the car feel even more special somehow when you pick up from Stuttgart.
