That's gonna look great. You're gonna love the rear center console in leather...I do...just ignore the coffee stain...

BTW, which dealership did you go with?

BTW, which dealership did you go with?

Exchange. I bought the previous one from them and I get on with them (translation: I feel no pain when they take money from me and smile)

Coffee and all other consumables are banned from my Porsche, regardless of who you are or circumstance. If you're thirsty or hungry we can stop and eat or drink. Afterall I know we can make up any lost time :-)

The Exchange is a good dealership. In fact, I bought 2 P-cars from Marty Johnson (GM) when he was with Napleton. I've had a great experience with Napleton and they're about 5 minutes from my house.

I CANNOT function without coffee. This stems back to residency for me. My 3 year old also makes a "no food" rule difficult. At least I get him to eat "non-messy" snacks like grapes, etc. NO LOLLYPOPS!

    Re: Final Spec - Ordered

Congratulations! April will be here before you know it!

    Re: Final Spec - Ordered

Alin what color is that interior? Wish I had the leather console, the standard is cheapo plastic.

    Re: Final Spec - Ordered

Le Chef, comforting to see that another S buyer opted for black dials. I find the others a bit too bling for my own taste. Curious if others are making a similar choice.

I debated this quite a bit before choosing the aluminum look. Go to the Porsche website and you can configure the interior with aluminum or black gauges to see the difference. The S also comes with aluminum look interior trim that is not on the non-S. With the other aluminum trim that comes with the S dash, I thought the gauges looked good with the black interior I am getting. I consider myself to be a traditionalist and thought I would only want black. This is another one of those situations where there is no right or wrong. It is whatever you are comfortable with.

Certainly, no right or wrong here. I just haven't heard of others opting for the black dials. The sales guy couldn't understand why I would want them.

My salesman also said that he had not seen nor ordered a 997S with black gauges. I know they exist because some of the folks here have them. My salesman reminded me that a lot of people pay $860 to have colored gauges. He couldn't understand why I wouldn't want them. I initially ordered the car with black gauges but changed my mind and order within a couple of days.

    Sea Blue

    Re: Final Spec - Ordered

i would pay anything for silver gauges, but what i dont like is the two tone color with the sports chrono

I woudnt like to have different color gauges with the sport chrono instrument.

And by the wasy Lechef and others who already own the "S" with black gauges does the sports chrono remains silver or black?

    Re: Final Spec - Ordered

I understand that it will be black also. I would not have ordered this option otherwise.

Maybe someone who ordered the black gauges can confirm that the sports chrono gauge also is black. When you configure a car at Porsche.com and choose the black gauge option, the sport chrono stays aluminum colored.
