Nah, I think Bugatti doesn't care anymore.
Still a prototype though, series production isn't sure yet. Street legal? Could be interesting to know.

In the Shmee video he makes a few comments pointing at it being track only.

Bugatti stated after its last speed record run, that it was no longer pursuing top speed records but would concentrate on other performance metrics.

Yep. Indeed. Similar to Lamborghini and the Aventador, Bugatti puts a lot of work into details.
Last time I sat in a SVJ and looked at it from every angle, I didn't want to leave the car, neither did my son. It may not be the fastest around (straight-line ) but oh boy is it beautiful.

they can make it perfectly road legal and maintain an acceptable weight of 1,250kg even at a price. It is a Bugatti, never been a cheap car anyway and would benefit the entire sportscar segment about the promotion of light and high perf car rather than fat whale with a lot of HP...

Yep, a minor accident can cost a fortune on these cars and what is worse: Sometimes, these cars need to be transported to the manufacturer to be able to repair them. This could take months, maybe longer.
