Hmmm. Future?  At those speeds you don’t hear nor notice engine sounds.

He’s British.  That means he is an older and more pretentious version of an American and we are known for butchering many a foreign language.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

There is no one here in Germany who pronounce it correct.

Still not as bad as the Buick LaCrosse to the Quebecois. (However, the Buick Masturbate would have led to an early adoption of hands free driving.)

    Bugatti Rimac

Rimac and Bugatti Combine Forces in Historic New Venture

Today, Rimac Automobili announces another major milestone in its history, as it combines forces with the iconic automotive brand, Bugatti Automobiles, to create a new automotive and technological powerhouse.

In just 10 years, Rimac Automobili has progressed from one-man garage start-up to announcing a new company with one of the world’s most iconic car brands to create Bugatti Rimac d.o.o. (in English – LLC).

In an industry evolving at ever-increasing speed, flexibility, innovation and sustainability remain at the very core of Rimac’s operations. The Croatian-based brand has proven that it can not only keep up but be the trailblazer, setting the performance and technological benchmark for others. Uniting Rimac’s technical expertise and lean operations with Bugatti’s 110-year heritage of design and engineering prowess represents a fusion of leading automotive minds.

Both brands will continue to operate independently, with Rimac Automobili retaining its current premises on the outskirts of Zagreb, Croatia and Bugatti production continuing in Molsheim, France.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

    Something is missing.

Porsche just dropped 70 mil euros back in March to increase their stake from 15.5% to 24%, so 9.5% for 70 mil. valuing Rimac at ~740mil euros.

Bugatti was a 100% subsidiary of VAG. They aren't giving away 55% of it to outsides for free. Well technically Porsche retained 13.2% interest in Bugatti via their Rimac holdings. That plus the 45% VAG transferred to Porsche means there is still 41.8% interest of Bugatti still unaccounted for.

There are at least a couple linking lines missing in the shareholding flowchart. Not likely to be a cash deal as Rimac don't quite have the cash to pay.

Mate Rimac just became quite rich on paper. 37% owner of a 740 mil euro company that's a partner with VAG.

Slightly different information from the Porsche newsroom but still lacking in the details. https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2021/company/porsche-bugatti-rimac-joint-venture-25000.html

On a positive note, Rimac has a press office versus Tesla having a mad man with a Twitter account.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

In the EV world, Elon gets all the hype, but substance wise, Mate is in another league.

All Elon did was spend money, and hype up Tesla stock in order to spend other people's money.

Mate studied to be an electrical engineer and also love cars, founded Rimac when he was 21! And he is still only 33.

A one guy garage building his dream car had turned into the juggernaut of the EV tech industry. AMG, Aston, Ferrari, Hyundai, Jaguar, Koenigsegg, Magna, Mercedes, Pininfarina, Renault, Seat, Porsche are all customers of Rimac Technology. Basically he supplies the next generation EV tech to just about everyone.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

A bit dated now that the production version is out. But this is the pre-produciton car simply blowing the doors off a Taycan turbo S as if it's standing still. Sub 9 second 1/4 mile time. And not even on a prep-ed surface.

Plaid, Roadster have no chance of breaking records with this thing around.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

Brooks has his shit together. Always good content.
I agree with Grant. For that money I would prefer a nice collection of ICE cars, mostly non turbo and manual. And a Plaid on the side.
I try to not post Tesla, especially plaid, videos. But if your interested in something neat check out the short Brooks did in the rain with the plaid and a car full of people. It’s the rain traction on full boogie that always blows me away in my car.

    Re: Rimac Nevera

    Re: Rimac Nevera

All that proves is that the only car that can beat the plaid is just as boring and costs 20x as much.

While making it for 10% of the cost.
You do realize that a four door sedan with two video game consoles and seating for five with half the horsepower is split seconds behind at about 5% the price being sold to the masses at a profit. What exactly are they going to teach Elon?  How to hook up with VW?  I think their task is to teach Porsche. How big do you think the gap is to the turbo Porsche EV? Lol.
sorry - your bait looked too delicious.  For the price this comparison is quite beneficial to Tesla.
