You failed to mention the bigger news than the windshield. McLaren had to cut production target again, just like the P1 before.
This time around, they go from 399 to 249 and now 149.
I actually think they haven't even crossed 100 buyers yet.

Hmm, I guess this model was an answer to a question nobody asked. I think it's kinda cool, but overpriced.

Actually, that's not new info.
Check first page, I linked this article which is from 8 months ago. 
But I agree, I doubt theres many buyers for this kind of car(with no windshield).

Saw one in traffic tonight. Always good car spotting in my neighborhood. I must say it does look cool. Of course the nutty price tag combined with its the complete impracticality play a huge role. Weird but it works. It does sometimes seem like I live in Monaco. When visiting dad in Marbella there were lots of nice cars as well. The Midwest is certainly not what one might expect anymore.

That is fun to see cool cars, but can’t imagine owning this car makes any sense at all in the Midwest (nothing but straight roads and I wouldn’t want a car without a windshield for the track).

Ozark roads are incredible and in some cases better than the old Tale of the Dragon. And virtually no cops.
But yes - it’s is a useless car of course. Brooks on Drag times has been showcasing is at the Dragon in one of his videos.
