Maybe so, maybe not. If Porsche puts the starting price between $55k and $60K (where they want it to be) then I'll be taking back my deposit and looking elsewhere. Sure they may sell, but will you be getting your monies worth or just adding to Porsches bottom line for a car that should cost less than the drop top.....even with some added power?
As was reported earlier on this board a focus group was held concerning the new coupe and according to second hand information.....not too many people were thrilled with Porsches idea of a starting price. The concensus was that even with the upgraded power "it" should sell for $2.5K less than a Boxster S.....makes great sense to me. Now if Porsche will only listen......

How can you say it looks great if you didn't see it yet?
The car on the picture is heavily camouflaged.
You don't like convertibles? Why didn't you buy a Boxster with hardtop, I know several Boxster owners who never removed the hardtop because they don't like roadsters/convertibles too.

What's your problem RC? I think it looks great from the picture, of course I haven't seen it. A hardtop on a vert and a coupe are not even close to the same thing. Do you have some kind of issue with the concept of this car, and why the hostile response to my simple post of a picture?

I had a hatch on my 3-generation RX-7. Never cared for it much in an otherwise perfect machine! Three Porsche employees on Gustavmahlerstr tried to buy it from me! Pardon the RX-7 bragging, but I love that car still!!!
