Muhri, its available for factory cars but it may take a bit longer to be available through parts department for retrofits so you will have to check on that with your dealer.
TC M3, if you had Sport Exhaust in your order its should already be included by Porsche AG automatically and built/delivered with it. If you ordered it without the exhaust then call your dealer inmediately and see if he can get that option in there but should not be a problem is its an April build.

I want to know how the 997S sounds with the PSE, may be similar to fabspeed???
(if its like that, it should be amazing though I think it will have better sound and better quality...much more!!)

TC M3, did you check with your dealer? if so let us know just to make sure its available for US as well cause US may be different than RoW.
Joost thanks! I had to speak with him to see if he had a delivery date for me, no exact delivery date yet (just that its April build) but at least the exhaust is in

Carlos, I just had my dealer try to add the Sports Exhaust to my 997s Cab, April build May delivery. He said Porsche would not accept the option.
He will try to contact the rep to see if there is any explanation. Maybe its not available for U.S. builds but that dosen't make sense

Tried to add it to my C2S cab March build order but out of luck as no more changes is being accepted on my car (too close to build date) The dealer then tried to add it to a April build order for another customer that has been waiting and it woudl not go through. As of yesterday U.S. orders were not being accepted.

Its Re-Confirmed! Its available.
Just spoke with my dealer to re-confirm that the sport exhaust is available, and it is. Porsche admitted my 997S order with SPort Exhasut and its available, at least for Europe. Guess I'll be one of the first to have it but that also means that here in rennteam will be one of the first places to hear it since I will post sound files of the sport exhaust for all those that want to hear it 
The problem may seem that there is too much demand so not all orders are accepted yet, but they will sooner or later, at least in Europe. For all we know in US it maybe be even later with the different polution and noise laws, but keep checking back with the dealer, its available here for some April builds already.
Those wanting the sport exhaust through the parts department for retrofit may be delayed a bit since they will firts supply the factory build cars with it.

Yes, according to the order guide, it specifically says it has the switch like in the 996.
Unfortunately its only for the 997S, though there are rumors Porsche may eventually develop one for the base 997, there is nothing confirmed or substatial.

I posted a while ago that the sport exhaust will be available for the Carrera too, not only for the Carrera S. It came like a surprise for me and I just checked the german car configurator and it seems to be true. I just hope this isn't a configurator error.

I get one of the first exhausts for retrofit, I ordered mine back in July 2004.
I'm not sure about the switch, I heard that chrono sport equipped cars don't need the switch and that the exhaust is gonna be operated by the "sport" switch of chrono sport. But is sounds a little bit strange to me, maybe I want the exhaust to sound LOUD without having chrono sport activated? Time will tell, right now there is some sort of information GAP, probably due to the new products expected for summer 2005.

I had the 996 sport exhaust retrofitted on my car and it came with switch buit on the dashboard.
Hopefully, it'll be the same for the 997.
