I'm going down on Saturday for the extremely painful process of paying for it and I hope to see it, but it might be in "The Compound", wherever that is.

Post dated, old boy I ain't that daft! I could have chip 'n pinned but knowing my luck the system would go pearshaped on the day! Particularly as we are going down by good old public transport.

Erm, why dont u just get a bank notified/certified (whatever its called) cheque and hold it until you pick up the car?
Post-dated or not, it's a bad idea to pay the dealer before you have the car.
If you pay him now, find some problem with the car on collection, you'd have to be a magician to get your checque back.
But maybe you'll simply contramand..contrament...contra-something---arh, hell: TAKE BACK the cheque and cancel it via your bank in case somehing is wrong?
I mean..let's just imagine that something was missing from the car..i dunno exactly what...but...hmm...let's just say something crazy: The wheels? What would u do then?
