    New ferrari ''Dino'' project for 2006 with pic!!!

    According to an article in my local car magazine Ferrari is preparing a promotion of their newest and smalest GT model.
    The name ''Dino'' is not ruled out (50th aniversary of death of Enzos son) allthough it's not for sure. The new car should be presented in 2006 and it would be somewhat smaller and more modestly powered compared to the new F430. The car is being developed on the basis of the Maserati GT
    and will have shared components and technical sollutions with it. It is also said that it will be very economicaly important to Ferrari/Maserati because of the weak sales of the Maserati Coupe GT and Spider GT.

    Don't know how true thesee infos are, but if you look closely to the attached picture (its a CGI pic) it very much resembles current Ferrari models
    and especialy the spy photos of the new ''F600 Imola''. ???

    Anyway It could all be that Ferrari is putting out smoke screens but then again who knows...

    intersitng photoshop, looks like they chopped together a variety of Ferrari's current models.

    still, it isnt bad

    To me, that is how I imagine the 575 successor will look , sans the Dino gills on the B-pillars.Good thing the Ferraris have side vs central exhuast pipes or else some will pull up next to a future "600 Imola" and yell " Nice Vette ! " if it looks like this P-shop. .

    I like the Dino concept, it would be less serious and more fun, something Ferrari needs these days! I don't care if its quicker or slower than a 997 or a Corvette Z06 or Benz S55 or a TVR tow truck! Ferrari ambience and handling will make it a joy, even if they stick a hybrid electric in it!

    So many sports and GT cars are just too somber these days.
    Its time to lighten things up and a new Dino would do that.

    Anyway nice drawing job ... But i can not stand yelllow... Which I suspect you do not care !!

    This drawing is not mine,I just scaned it from the magazine and translated the article.
    I also tried to google about to see where they got it from but with no sucsess. Maybe someone saw this photoshop of the 575M replacement and labeled it a ''Dino'' for some reason.

    The last Dino had a Fiat engine, what will power the new Dino? Will they develop a smaller Ferrari engine this time?
    And the last Dino, how did it sound, like a Ferrari or a Fiat or somewhere in-between?

    Dino 308GT4 had a V8 and 2+2 seating, was a fun car.

    Dino 206/246 had a V6, looked cool, but had a very high center of gravity and felt like a jacked up 914/6.

    Both sounded Ferrari like. Dinos 206/246 had no cats and with Ansa exhaust sounded really good.

    Fiat Dino had a V6. never drove one, cant say.
