    Navigation module for PCM 2

    Anyone have any insight into when the part will ship to the United States? I've been waiting since 14 December 2004.

    Actually, I'm interested in getting it too. I called a couple of dealers to inquire and was told that they would be out by Spring sometime.

    Good luck, I have been trying to retro fit the telephone module since November, it was to be available in the UK in December and I am still waiting, althoguh the local Porsche centre say they now have the instuctions on how to fit it when they can lay hands on a module!

    I guess that $2,400 is about what to expect given that it is 1,565 Euros in Germany (without value added tax) and current exchange rate is 1.3. I suspect the only difference is the mapping disk.

    I have to buy the DVD separately at about 200. At least the dealer gave me the phone number so I could go VFR direct and save a few dollars.

    Navigation Module p/n 997.044.900.70
    Consists of the following:
    DVD nav module (player)
    GPS antenna
    Mounting bracket for module
    Wire harness.
    and a few more misc items.
    In addition an optical waveguide must be purchased
    The Map disc is ordeed seperately
    Labor to install aprox 3hr

    (it is not plug and play...the TSB for install is 10 pgs and the PIWIS tester is required to activate the navigation) )

    Interesting that it is a slightly different part number in Germany. If the map disk is not included I wonder what the difference is.
    Can someone publish the TSB (or otherwise make it available)?

    Brandywine Porsche has a 997 Nav module for sale on ebay for $1500. Not sure if it is the complete set?
