Re: Self-Driving Tesla Was Involved in Fatal Crash
bluelines:RC:After listening to a 610 hp V10 engine for over 700 km this weekend, I wouldn't set a foot in an ELV even if this thing does 0-100 kph in one second.
Next family car on our radar: RS6 Performance or next gen Cayenne Turbo (if they get the exhaust sound right).
You are going all out Audi
Then again, so would I. These Audis are being more fun than Porsches
Not even sure the engine is from Audi...originally but you are right, it isn't enough for Porsche to satisfy a small group of people with their GT models but bore the other ones to death. Porsche, a legend and they cannot get an exhaust/engine sound right? Seriously?! Was it really necessary to switch to a 4-cyl. engine (Boxster)? In all seriousness but at the end, I think it comes down to money and gain margins, not necessarily emissions and new noise legislations. Car manufacturers always seem to find a way...look at the R8...or Aston Martin and Maserati...or even their own GT models. Emotions come from engine/exhaust sound as well and while I love the Tesla S as a gadget lover, I would probably be very unhappy with this car if it was my only one.
